Quoting og15:

I don't think a 49-3 record will the second seed, more like 3rd or 4th, and it's true, anything is possible.

You mean 49-33. :P

With the new divisions that are expected to be revealed next season it's possible to get the 2nd seed. And from what I remember the 76ers are/were the premiere team in their respected division.

How does it work though since their are 3 divisions, do the top teams in each division have to be 1,2,3?

Philly's division isn't that easy:

Eastern Conference

Atlantic Division:
Boston Celtics
New Jersey Nets
New York Knicks
Philadelphia 76ers
Toronto Raptors

Central Division:
Chicago Bulls
Cleveland Cavaliers
Detroit Pistons
Indiana Pacers
Milwaukee Bucks
(Poor Milwaukee)

Southeast Division:
Atlanta Hawks
Charlotte Bobcats
Miami Heat
Orlando Magic
Washington Wizards
(Haha Go Heat and Wizards baby)

Now looking at that, Philly has the toughest division in the East, all playoff teams and Philly and the Raptors are 2 that barely missed it but will both be improving next season, it' tough.

I think it's according to where the teams are on the map (I'm not sure) so its not their fault, its just happened that Miami, Washington, Orlando, Atlanta and Charlotte are in together, and I guess on of those 3 will have to get a top 3 seed, and I'm hoping Miami or Washington.

That's funny. I remember watching an episode of NBA Action and they referred to Philadelphia being the premiere team in their division followed by the Nets being the number one team in their division.

Well regardless of what team is in the Atlantic Division, IF the Sixers can play their regular winning type basketball, they should be fighting for the number 1 spot in the Atlantic Division with either the Nets (If K-Mart decides to stay) or the Knicks.

Doubt it

I highly doubt it. A.I. can't carry this team by himself.
I don't expect the sixers to go far.

No need to get feisty. He said:

:P

But on a more serious note, I still think he can carry the team. I don't think he can carry the 76ers the way he did back in 2001. But with more help from the other players, I think he can quite possibly do a repeat of 2001.
