There are no firm details yet on the offer, described as multiyear and multimillion. Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak met with Krzyzewski in North Carolina, Gray reported.</div> Source
I agree, he should remain a college coach because he is great for college basketball and I would hate to see him come to the NBA and tarnish his reputation if he fails. I've always been curious to how he would do in the NBA, but I don't think the Laker job and situation is a good starting place for coach K. The Lakers need an experienced coach, who's been in championship games. The Lakers should just finalize the deal with Rudy T and then build the team around his needs.
Coach K is my favorite coach of all time...college or nba...i think he has a knack for creating "teams" in every sense of the word...and as a die hard laker fan, i would love to see him on the bench at staples...but at the same time...Cameron is his home...he built that place on his back and he should see it through to the end...he belongs at Duke...college ball wouldn't seem right without him....
I have the same feelings shape. I respect this guy as a coach and I would hate to see him fail and than not be able to go back to Duke where he belongs. Every coach dreams of coaching in the NBA though so if he chooses that I will respect it.
