Could Steve Blake have the potential to become a point guard like that of Jason Kidd ... i have seen the way he finds the open man like no ones business he definitely plays like kidd in that aspect .... Kidd hasnt really been known for his offensive skills, so you guys tell me ....
He has unbelievable court vision, but that is pushing it..I think a low class Kidd maybe and when his shot is on give him the ball
i swear .. everyone seems pesimistic abour our players... you know what i hope Steve Blake proves everybody wrong ...
No one is bagging him here, he just isint Jason Kidd he has only played one year and it was average, lets see how he performs this year.
Jason Kidd has one advantage over Blake at this point: reputation as a leader who makes everyone around him better. Don't get me wrong, I see how valuable that is. However, Steve can do this over time. Everyone is always so big over superstars. To tell you the truth, at the end of a close game I'd rather have blake on the floor than Kidd. Jason can't hit that important long-range jumper to save his life. At least Blake improved his long-range J tremendously. (and he did it during season 1)
that is true and he did hit soem big shots for us last year with the game on the line...he is better than people think, I just dont think he is going to be "Kidd" good
Yea I don't see him as Kidd good, right now he'll only be a backup because of Arenas, but he reminds me of Earl Watson in a way in that he's a very good backup but doesn't seem like a starter type guy.
Blake has been tearing it up in Summer League. I think he is going to be a great one in the John Nash/Kidd mold.

I think he will be a good PG who will always be a backup. He has the potential but even though he is tearing it up in the summer league I dont think he has enough skill to be a Kidd type player. I see him as a Bobby Jackson type player who can win the sixth man of the eyar awards. Nice comparison to Earl Watson.
