<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Dwight is like a sponge," Magic Coach Johnny Davis said. "He's absorbs everything. He's a quick study, a student of the game. He's going to improve rapidly." "I've learned that I can get my shot off against anyone," Nelson said. "Everything this summer is a learning experience for both me and Dwight. He's better than I even thought he would be. The one shot he blocked, he could have caught it with his elbow."</div> Full Story I can't wait till next week when they will be on tv!
I love those comments. Dwight looks like he will be a faster learner then first anticipated and could be a candidate for ROY this year. I wish I got NBA TV so that I could see them. Nelson will make an immediate impact off the bench.
Those were some interesting comments made by Jameer and Pat about Howard. Both have proved most people wrong from what I can see. Both of these players will be great come season time and I think everyone knows that.
I'm still an Okafor fan and he has yet to play so we still don't know who's better. But no matter what I'm still glad we took Howard over Okafor. Howard has a chance to be something special. I think he's going to be a dominant player on both ends of the floor. I also love his charisma and determination to be a GREAT player. Something Kwame Brown DOESN"T have. I can't believe people in here were comparing those 2. Totally different players IMO
I think Jameer should start half away through the season over Mobley. Mobley isnt as good as advertised and Jameer would learn good before the all star break and take the momentum to the next half of the season starting at point and putting Steve Francis at SG. Jameer will be great, he is by far the most NBA-ready point gaurd in his draft class.
Mainman he meant Franchise at the 2..Nelson as a PG..I think we'll have that rotation a lot...specially if we have Howard playing the 3... PG - Nelson SG - Franchise SF - Dwight PF - Gooden C - Cato Thats a small back court but ...not a small line up with Dwight as a 3.
I hate that line-up. I think you guys are giving Nelson way too credit. I wanna see what he does in the pre-season before I even think about sticking him in the startin gline-up. If we want to make the playoffs then you gotta go with: PG-Francis SG-Mobley SF-Hill, Garrity, or Gooden PF-Howard C-Cato
Gooden can play the 3 and I like Tmac_Ownz line up. It shows promise and could happen more likely the yours crazytown. If Hill returns he won't be his old self, same thing with garrity and I think the youth the Magic has will prosper more than the old IMO.

If you want to shoot 35% per game then go right ahead. And we'd get abused by opposing guards. Having that line-up would probably have J.D fired. So it probably wouldn't be a bad thing.

Francis and Jameer can drive in and get the easy bucket or get some penetration and dish it off ot one of our big man or someone open. I'm sure they have ability and experience to do so. We aslo can dish it down low to our big man and let em twirk it a little bit. We don't have to settle for the jump shot. We're also a running team and we can get fast break points. Once again we don't have to settle for the jumpshot.
Geez, you must not know much about the NBA. You need a jump shooter/3pt threat to win the NBA. I know it looks easy but you can't just drive to the bucket every single time. Especially when you're 5"11 and 6"3. If you're comfortable with Francis 30% 3-pt than more power to you. Hell, I'll even bet you the Magic don't go with this line-up(barring injuries). I think some of you guys are getting carried away with J.Nelson. There's a reason he slipped to #20. I don't think he's ready to start IMO. Who would be our back-up PG with that line-up? Sorry, but that line-up makes absolutely no sense. :thumbsdow
The Francis, Nelson lineup will only work against smaller teams like Philly or if we play zone. Plus why would you start Nelson over Mobley???

Like BN said this line-up would work only agianst small teams. We have some nice shooters off the bench that do excellent off the bench and I think will help out with their jumper when needed. Mobley would start over Jameer anyway and everyone knows that. I guess I was just being biased but people do have their own opinions don't they?
I apologize. I was a little harsh with the 1st sentence. I got a little carried away. I usually do that when I try to prove a point. No hard feelings. I only lash out to Enitials from here on out. Let by-gones be by-gones. :beerchug:

Let's say we delete out posts and act like none of this ever happened
