<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post">Nope. Webber never had as many as 200 in either category. I'll repeat my three unanswered questions for anyone who wants to take a stab at it: 1. I had the higheset turnovers-per-game average ever in a season (since turnovers were recorded), and I'm a guard. 2. I'm the only player to have 200 steals and 200 blocks in the same year. 3. I'm the only player to average over 10 rebounds per game for 15 consecutive seasons.</div> for number 1 its some guy named george mcginnis, number 2 its got to be hakeem, number 3 is charles barkley, i think

I'm not sure, but Moses Malone? I think he played his last season in S.A, and The Admiral was probably around.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Twisted42008:</div><div class="quote_post">for number 1 its some guy named george mcginnis, number 2 its got to be hakeem, number 3 is charles barkley, i think</div> You got 2 and 3 correct. I'm surprised it took so long for someone to get 2. Hakeem had 213 steals and 282 boards in 82 games in 88-89. To my knowledge, no other player has ever even gotten 200 steals in one season and 200 blocks in another season, let alone the SAME season. In fact, for his career he's #7 all time in steals, as well as being #1 in blocks. Pretty impressive stuff. If ever their was a player capable of a quintuple double (points, boards, assists, blocks, and steals), it was Dream. And number 1 is a VERY good guess, as McGinnis was very turnover prone throughout his NBA career. And, indeed, if you count ABA stats as well, McGinnis DID average more turnovers per game than anyone else with 5.3 tpg in 74-75 while he was in the ABA. However, I'm only talking about NBA records. And again, the player is a guard (McGinnis was a forward). <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"><div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">1. They only started being recorded around '75. Ok, so there's a third hint. Hall of fame guard who played after '75.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post"> Kevin Willis?</div> Willis is a debatable hall of famer? The answer was Dominique. Now don't give me your discrepancy again. Dominique briefly played with the Spurs in 1999. Many of us say he should be a hall of famer while the people who didn't enshrine him don't think he is so therefore, doesn't that mean he's a debatable hall of famer?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Twisted42008:</div><div class="quote_post">but you also said he played with tim duncan... dominique didnt play with tim duncan.</div> Like Chungster said he played with the Spurs breifly in the 98-99 season, which was Duncan's rookie year... So yes, he did play with Duncan.
^ yeah dominique didn't play at all in 1999 for the spurs... he played during the 1996-1997 season which the spurs terribbly sucked but their record that season helped them draft Tim Duncan.... then Nique sort of retired and came back again to play a brief season with the Orlando Magic in 2000 I think. Durvasa, for the TO guy it's John Stockton!

In fact, I don't particularly think its debatable, he WILL make it to the Hall -- likely next year. I don't think he was eligible from enshrinement this year, by the way. He retired one year after Drexler. Also, I don't think he played with the Spurs in '99. His only season, to my knowledge, was with the Spurs was 96-97, the year BEFORE Duncan joined the team. In the 98-99 season, he was with the Magic. Kevin Willis will not be a first ballot Hall of Famer like 'Nique, and may never be a in the Hall. But one could make a sensible (if not convincing) argument for it. For instance, he may very well break the record for most seasons played, and he has over 11,000 rebounds in his career. In my opinion, no other player who played both with Robinson and Duncan has a BETTER chance of making it to the Hall then Kevin Willis, and that's why I think he's the best answer to your question.
