Same story with Hardaway except he will earn 15.75 Million. Nazr is not enought to trade to Port, he earns about 5 Million, you need to add another 6 million atleast, inorder to have a matching value for SAR. Shandon Anderson could be that one, but the Blazers are not that ignorant, they rather have an unhappy big man off the bench who can start incase somone gets injured. </div> Sorry I miscaculated their contracts my bad

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 6thman:</div><div class="quote_post">Are you crazy? we don't have to trade Houston for Shareef! If we give H2O, there will be a lack of shooters( only stephon, crawford who are very unconsistent and Penny!!!!) but we'd get one more PF!!! OK if we trade for Thomas but not for Houston!!!</div> Yeah if Houston only had 1 leg left I still don't trade him. I know he's making WAY too much money, but remember that the Knicks practically print the stuff anyway. This particular trade especially doesn't make sense to me. You get rid of Houston to bring in another small forward when the Knicks already have Hardaway, Anderson and Williams playing that position. Houston can come off the bench with bad knees and play behind Crawford at the 2. New York by the way is the only place a bench player is allowed to make between 17 and 20 million dollars a year.

That is the main reason why Portland is looking to move him, because he isnt willing to switch positions. So if he came to the Knicks he would be a 4. 2) If Allan Houston does stay with the Knicks, I doubt he would be the one coming off the bench, more likely Crawford for at least this season. 3) Your last statement (which you even found funny) is exactly the reason Allan Houston needs to be on the 1st plane out of here as fast as possible, while like I said Houston will likely start, their is no need for the Knicks to keep a one- demisional guard, with shakey knees at 20 mill a year if they have a chance to get rid of him. How often do you think a team will come along that may actually be willing to take Allan Houston's expensive services off the Knicks hands? Well I can answer that for you, not very often. In fact this might be the best offer the Knicks may ever get for Houston, they have to jump on it, no if's, and's, or but's.

Getting rid of his horrible contract is the dream of Knicks fans everywhere. To get Abdur-Rahim in return makes it even more pleasing. I just hope it happens, because no matter how much speculation there is, we still have no idea what can happen, which builds tension for the media to feed off of. That's why we get these rumors, it's impossible for us to seperate the truth from the false, but you can determine HIGHLY unlikely to likely, this trade is more likely than not.
Yeah ok I just mentioned Houston coming off the bench because I somehow see him as a cripple nowadays with those bad knees. So Houston starts at the 2 and Crawford comes in and releaves him and plays a little bit of 1 as well. Thats a pretty good guard rotation when you throw Hardaway and Moochie in there. I will break down and suppose that yes Abdur-Rahim could start at the 4 and K. Thomas could come off the bench. My whole reason for not liking this trade is I like watching K. Thomas start because he's a tough player and he's improved so much over the last few years to the point I felt he should be starting. Oh and I LOVE watching Alan Houston shoot. I could never trade a player that can hit the J like he can. He could be in a wheel-chair and I'd have him out there.
I pull the trigger on this deal if Derek Anderson is part of the trade. He can add help @ 2 positions. (PG & SG) He's young & he's explosive. Exactly what Isiah wants. Man the knicks would be a real threat if this deal includes Derek Anderson.
