I think that it sucks as a Raptor fan, but give Vince an ounce of credit, the Raptors organization sounds to have been screwin' him around all summer. It seems as though Vince went to Rob Babcock early on in the summer, when he was hired in June, and told him what he wanted. "He wants out". He didn't want to make the fans and media unhappy by looking like just another american player who doesn't like Canada. The organization hasn't put forth a valient effort of suppling Vince with high-calibre players to play along side of for more than two years. They just cut salary, shed unhappy players, and acquire old retiring players. I think that this could be good for the Raptors and Vince, if they can swing the right deal. Don't trade for more old, injury proned players, find talented youth with great potential, and build the new team around Chris Bosh. Make him want to sign a contract extension when his rookie contract is up in two seasons. Rob Babcock was right on one thing, this is going to be a new era.

Yea just that the Raptors, and no other team would ever take any of those guys one on one for Vince, and Kurt Thomas for a filler is hardly even worth Jalen Rose. After Marbury, Crawford kinda, and Sweetney, New York has no players with trade value, no one wants those guys.
Yo, forget whatever VC is asking for. I say we ship him to the Clippers for draft picks and a decent player. We get to see him try and "resurrect" his career on a Reaally crappy team, and you know our draft picks will be good cuz the Clippers always lose.
^^^I agree with that principle, even if it won't happen. I'm so tired of when things don't go thier way, whiny stars pulling this "I want to be traded and I want to dictate where" type crap. Don't take that as only a shot at VC, I think that way in general and don't like anyone doing it. If you want out, deal with whatever deal works best for your current team or shut your mouth and play hard until your contract is up.
Regarding og15's post, i woud LOVE to see Stro Show in a Raps uni. Another thing is, what did Vince think when he signed that long-term deal with the Raps?...that we were going to win a championship? The main reason we've been doing so bad is mainly because of his injuries the past couple of seasons...so why is he getting angry at the team for not winning enough? He did want this to be HIS team didn't he? Just doesn't make sense..........
Now that its official, I flat out say that Vince Carter is a baby, and heres why I think this. After almost 3 years of injury plagued seasons, the fans waiting patiently for his return and hopefully another winning team. They've supported Vince through all that, and all Vince does is give it one season and now hes impatiently asking for a trade. Hes acting very selfish by saying it isn't about anything but him winning, but he doesn't understand that he is the #1 guy on this team and instead of selling out he should try to change it himself. All I can say right now is that we better get him out of this city, he'll be nothing but a cancer on and off the court.
I think we should get rid of vc, to the clippers as someone mentioned. For C magg, tat would be awsome....c magg and 1-3 draft picks draft pick. I would do that

You know what pisses me off now? The fact that since Vince might leave...we could have drafted Iguodala to take his place in the future. Man...Bosh and Iguodala could have been a deadly combo.
Who will the raptors trade him to, I know earlier this offseason there was talk of shipping him off the Seattle, New York and I think it was Portland im not sure but I doubt that the raptors really want anyone on those teams except for Stephon Marbury, Ray Allen, and maybe Zach Randolph but those guys are practically untradeable so ya..

yeah I think he should be traded but if he does I have a strange feeling that he'll end up like Antonio Davis or JYD but thats just my opinion sure vince is a great player and probably one of the main reasons why the team is somewhat sucessful but it seems his passion for the game has gone jsut from watching some games from last season now I dont know if this upcoming season will be the same but oh well
The most annoying part of this is the way he flatout lied to everybody for months. And then he goes and talks about he loves this city and the fans. The man is just a punk, and he needs to grow-up.
