I have an empty spot on my roster since Kidd is on the IL. Both of these players are available, so who should I pick? Obviously Grant Hill is a risk, but if he could make it until December Kidd would be back. Which player do you think would be more beneficial. I guess I might as well add the Jerry Stackhouse is available too. Please respond ASAP, before someone else in my league picks one of these guys up!

    Thanks.

Zach Randolph was most likely picked up minutes after being dropped. People in you're league aren't stupid. He was probably picked up and had a player like, say, Jim Jackson dropped to make the space. As for Grant Hill, you might as well pick him up since you have a free space until then. If he gets injured, drop him. Or pick up someone else who is going to play well. There is no risk as long as you don't drop J. Kidd.

Hill is too big an injury risk (even if he seems healthy, whereas Randolph has never had any serious injury problems, and is basically a guaranteed 20/10 guy every night. I find it hard to believe he's a free agent in your league. Obviously he doesn't do much else, but anyone who can get you a consistent 20/10 on good shooting isn't bad at all.

Yeah I know, apparently someone dropped him after last nights 13 point performance, with a fg% in the 30s. Their loss.

Why would you even ask that question? If you don't know that you should pick up Randolph, I feel sorry for your fantasy team.

If we were currently living in the late 90's, then Grant Hill would be your pick. Since we're living in 2004, Zach Randolph should be your pick.

I guess I should have listed my fantasy team first, but whatever think what you want.

If you take into consideration the fact the Randolph is being forced to share minutes with SAR and Darius Miles, you'll realize my conflict. He hasn't produced thus far, and SAR (who is also on my fantasy team) has been the forward doing most of the work. Grant Hill had a mediocre game tonight, but I believe that potentially he can be more CONSISTANT than Z-Bo. Especially since Z-Bo has his contract now, and doesn't really need to impress.

is this a joke? i agree with some of these guys, why the hell is randolph on the free agents list, i'm guessing it's a mistake (someone accidently dropped duncan last season, but it was near the end so it didn't really matter, still i got him though, thank you waiver priority)

well is it a small league? i would definetely take randolph over hill, i'm suprised hill is a FA too..you should post your team and how many teams are in the league and how many players you can play and stuff..but knowing nothing, the answer should be obvious zach randolph!!!

Knowing nothing, the answer is obvious. I'll post my team later (I have to go to work now), and the reasons why I posted this thread.

I'm not stupid.....I know that Randolph appears to be the obvious choice. At the same time Hill would have been very beneficial to my team.

For the record, yes, someone in our league was actually dumb enough to drop Randolph after the first game. He shot 31% and had 13 pts, horrible, but not worthy of dropping him.

The safer pick is Randolph. He'll improve. You should also take a risk and drop someone for Hill if he's still available after, though. Is it too hard to find someone to drop?

If you had to pick Hudson or Snow, pick Snow. Hudson is still recovering from his injury and is playing ok, but will always be playing limited minutes. On the other hand, Snow should be playing everyday and his numbers will always be decent.

Hmm...this should be a no brainer IMHO. Randolph is top 40 easy, top 25 in some pools, regardless of who your roster consists of, it should still be a no-brainer b/c you can always trade later. I'd suggest signing and keeping Randolph for month or so, when he starts avg. 24/12...probably more when Rahim is traded, then trade him for a big time swing guy. Hill...he's okay, for a late rounder and is always a risk, plus don't expect more than 50 games from him, 60 if you count yourself lucky, if you have extra space then sign him and enjoy the ride while it lasts... Good Luck!

Randolph is the better and safer bet. He's a 20/10 type of guy. Grant Hill is injury prone, but, who knows, this could be the year. He's been playing well, and I agree with Zhone. If you can, drop someone else to pick em both up and see what happens. Especially if you have some irrelevant player that is just simply taking up a roster spot, than I'd go for it.
