Thought I'd try this thread out. It's simple. You name an NBA player from the past (eg. 60s Chamberlain, 70s Kareem, 90s Malone) and the person will identify a present-day player who most reminds him of that player and why. Doesn't have to be an exact match, but just a current player who is in some way reminiscent of him. Then he names a past player, and it continues.

    I'll start: Larry Bird.

Kyle Korver - white, they both have a quick @ss release, bith draw 2-3 players out on them when getting the ball beyond th arc, and I think they are about the same height.

^ I got to go with Amare Stoudmire on this one. Both loved to get nasty with their facials when they dunked on people. Both came fresh out of high school. And both are from florida. Chocolate thunda was a little bit bigger. But both are in the same size range of build.

Since Kidd was already used for Oscar, I'll go with Steve Nash for Cousy. Just look how he transformed Phoenix into the best fast-breaking team in the league.

Ben Wallace. Greatest defensive player in the league, little offensive skill, a champion.

    Moses Malone.

    Vince Carter.

Gervin had that signature fingeroll, but Carter has a nice fingeroll too, even though he doesn't do it often.

    Lebron James

bob Mcadoo, Tracy McGrady?? Chungster your whack...i dont even think you know who Macadoo was and also your supposed to put an old player not Okafor or Lebron this isnt comparrison game read the rules you idiot
Also VC, gervin...nuhu i really dont think there is anything like Gervin since him.. He was so unique...that finger roll was a small aspect of his game, he was so long and a scoring machine...you cant say Vince who is a dunker first then a scorer...Maybe Stackhouse but i dont really think that...its impossible to compare anyone to the Iceman

anyways...Sugar Ray thats a good one he was so underated, he could throw a 3Dub like nothing...he was 6'3 SG but could average 8 boards a game, as well as 8 assists or twenty points...so yeah i think you definitly gotta say Stevie Franchise

Next up my man Bernard King

Michael Jordan with the Wizards sorta played like Alex English. But present-day players ... I'll say Grant Hill. Hill's a better passer, but English had a better post-up game.

    How's about James Worthy.

For George Gervin, I'd got with Tracy McGrady. McGrady is more athletic, and he's a better passer, but he's a pure scorer like Ice. Gervin had those sweet flip shots around the basket, though, and no one in the league today can emulate that.
