Ray Allen was the last player to wear #34 for the Milwaukee Bucks. When he comes to town on Sunday for the first time since the trade, newly aquired guard Reece Gaines will be the first and only person to wear that number since Allen.

Gaines' first choice of a number was #4, the number he wore in Houston. But that number is retired in honor of Sidney Moncrief. He had no luck with his second choice either, #1. The Bucks have that number retired also, in honor of hall of famer, Oscar Robertson. Gaines is lucky the Bucks let him wear Allen's #34 (his 3rd choice), because he said his 4th choice would have been #32, yep you guessed it, thats retired too, in honor of Brian Winters

Gmanspack, as a Bucks know-it-all, do you think that Gaines would log big minutes? He has looked like a bust in Houston and Orlando, but he does have quickness and good size at both guard spots. I'm still confident in his abilities, and that if given the right minutes, he might turn into a productive player down the road.

Oh quit it Fogdogg. Mike James isn't that great. Don't get me wrong, he is a good player that can have hot shooting nights and plays hard all the time, but he isn't a passing PG and didn't fit in well in our offense.

Larry Harris, Bucks GM said that this deal was done to cut cap, well before the knew they could get rid of Keith Van Horn without giving Redd. Thats why the deal went down.

Trip- Gaines will get a little playing time now. His PT will certainly go up if we fall even more out of the race. I think you'll see him start to back up at the guard over Strickland soon.
