No game preview today, felllas, sorry.

But it's the 2nd half and the dubs are only down by 7, not bad. Defense, rebounding and inside game is something to be desired. But hey we've only complained about that since the beginning of the year when we still had a good rebounder and dunker in 35 year old, one time allstar, Dale Davis. Check this halftime stat out Warriors shot 36% to the Twolve's 62%, but the Warriors have gotten to the line a lot more. That allowed field goal percentage is just attrocious!

    Richardson is sitting. Ankle.

    Warriors only down by six.

The Warriors have the lead, though. And for once, Fitz used the term "stone cold" on the other team.

anybody see the flush by a hobbled Jason Richardson? Freakin' Awesome! The T-wolves are playing pretty badly in the 2nd half because they are actually losing to us with 7 minutes to go. The warriors will find some way to lose it though.

I feel bad for Jrich... he's still playing through the pain on an ankle or strained calf. He still converted that sick alley oop dunk though.

Man how bad were the Twolves today? Damn, we even won ugly in the first half by making up for it in the second. Great plays by Foyle, Dunleavy, Fisher, Baron Davis, and especially Jason Richardson. Jason Richardson nailed some really clutch shots all while favoring his right leg. Amazing. We're looking at two allstars next season. I actually think we can win if we just sit down Murphy. The guy is becoming a blackhole. I don't know if it's fatigue or injuries or whatever, but bad things seem to happen when he's in the game. I'm not trying to take cheap shots at the guy who is injured on his shooting hand, but that was the difference in the game. Bench Murphy + Dunleavy at power forward = Warriors pull ahead.

Add two clutch 3's as well. Man, when did he suddenly become a clutch player in 4th quarter? Also, Davis is playing like what PG supposely needs to do. When he drives, he is such a threat...

(The fade away shot fake pass, the no look pass, the behind the back, the one where he just crooks it around Garnett) Man he had at least 4 good ones, even setting up non-scorers like Adonal for easy points. Now that's the court vision and the creativity we've been missing this season. The last instance of that was Nick Van Exel. Good game by Dunleavy, Fisher and Foyle did a good job (I hope he gets more consistent, he definitely had his hands up more). But man Jrich is such a stud. The guy was struggling a little bit and he just came on like a closer does.

I'm glad I was wrong that we were going to blow it in the 4th. Instead the T-wolves prevented that. Hudson almost got it within striking range, but they kept missing.

Heh, Davis' stat looks pitiful. 2-11, 1-7 from 3. But, he certainly changed the game for us, and did far better than what stat showed. Again, he shot 7 3's out of 11 shots he tried, and 20 out of 32 shots he shot are 3, so I do want that number to go down. I guess he will drive more once he gets into shape. Everybody had nice game today. Despite injury, Richardson once again poured points in 4th quarter, Dunleavy had excellent game, Foyle dominated inside in 2nd half and Fisher had another good shooting night. And, we stopped Wolves only 42 pts in 2nd half, including ONLY 47.6% from the field [IMG]

BTW, what happened to Wolves? Quality team would never allow 11 pts lead get away in home against the team, which won't make PO in desperate situation. Instead, they were slaughtered when it counts the most. I guess they won't make PO this year for sure. I feel bad for Garnett...

Best game of the year, thank god I TIVO'd it.

Baron Davis chucked up threes and only scored 6 points but this guy is the real freakin deal. 10 dimes? He is one of the best ball handlers I've ever seen. I'm glad we got this guy locked up.

JRich=Clutch. The end. Dunleavy is a baller. He was aggressive and made some huge shots.

The reason Murphy was sat was because Monty wanted a three guard lineup and run some small ball. The run started with Murphy in the game gobblin rebounds in the 3rd. Next time we could run Bdid at the 1 JRich at the 2 Dun at the 3 and Murph at the 4. Murph actually played good post defense on Garnett a few times. Bdid and Murph will be a good combo.

We just gotta improve the team defense and get a structured offense and a post player. Next year will be awesome! Man great game!

Yeegads JR was awesome! That was some serious heart tonight.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kwan1031:</div><div class="quote_post">Man, when did he suddenly become a clutch player in 4th quarter?</div>I remember Bruce McGowan on KNBR saying that Dunleavy is over 50% in 4th quarter shooting for his career. It's not bad having 3 starters who excel in the 4th quarter. [IMG]

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting upsidedownside7:</div><div class="quote_post">Bdid and Murph will be a good combo.</div> Agreed. Twice Baron penetrated and Foyle ended up with wide open 8 foot shots. One he luckily buried and one he kicked out. Foyle is not the best guy to take those shots, but Murphy is unconscious on catch and shoot 8 footers.

Foyle dominated inside... ha ha. Man that sounds as weird as reading in the paper we got Baron Davis. Say wha--? What did Foyle get again? 10 pts 10 rebounds 3 blocks or so? Man if he averaged that every game, I would not complain. Maybe he's gotten his confidence back up now that nobody's there to make him sit and he knows by now to get those hands up.

I think it has something to do with the Pippi Longstocking hair-dos Spree and Troy Hudson are packing. I dunno. I know McKale fired the coach and he doesn't have a healthy Cassell, Kandiman is still playing like a bust, Eddie Griffin is hurt, Spree is just biting this season, and Wallyworld just shoots like he's the number one option on the team. And then there's really nobody that can play defense except for Garnett, Trenton Hassell, and Ervin Johnson. BTW you know Sczerbiak's going to be gone next season. When he's not shooting it well he's utterly useless.

Sounds like it was a great game. I could only watch the first half, but recorded the game so I'll be able to check it out later.

From what I've read on the message boards: gutsy performance by JRich, Dunleavy played well, Fish had a good game, and Zarko came up with some good minutes. Davis is hoisting a lot of long-range shots, but he's doing a lot with the rest of his game to help the team. And Foyle contributed again...hope he makes it a habit.

I agree with your assestment of Murphy. Thats exactly what I have been thinking.
Ever since last year I haven't liked Murphy much, mainly because he can't play D and he jacks up alot of shots everytime he touches it.

If he came off the bench maybe he could be instant Offense, but I don't like him as a starter.

This one was over when I got off work, but I hear Davis + Fisher had a ton of assists. Smart passing is always a good thing. It's good to hear Adonal had a sharp game,he doesn't have good hands on offense-neither did Damp, but his D can have an impact.

Well, I think I speak for everyone over there when I say we have a very sour taste in our mouths after this one. I used to be pissed because I never get to see them on television because I'm here in Ohio, but it's getting to the point where I'm actually glad I don't get to watch them anymore. We're easily the biggest dissapointment this season, and if we miss the playoffs, it's an embarrasment.

On the flipside, props to the Warriors. We did what we do normally, blow a lead, and you guy never quit during the whole game. Nice job.

Second half was a suprise, that's all I can say. Everybody did pretty well in helping move the ball around, but the game's hero was definitely Jrich. I thought the W's were going to blow it because the T-wolves were closing the gap in the final 2 minutes with a 5 point difference and you know bad the W's defense can be. But then Jrich strolls out. Hits some clutch shots and one from deep along the wing. I tell you his 3 point shooting and midrange shooting have gotten really deadly, especially after he dunks it, that's when you know the rest of his game is on. His last 5 games he is averaging 3.8 three-pointers made per game and on 53% from beyond the arc. He is also averaging 52% field goal % overall. Add 2 steals per game, 6 boards per game, 3 assists per game, 82% from the foul line with 5 free throw attempts per game. He's shooting 45% for the year and scoring 23 points per game. Glad this guy wasn't going into free agency.

Of course Jrich couldn't do it alone. You need your catch and shoot guys (Derek Fisher). You need the guys who can penetrate and dish (Baron Davis). And you need other players who are good at recognizing the situation on the floor (Dunleavy). And lastly you need that guy who is going to do the dirty work (looks like Foyle). Too bad about Pietrus though. He was getting really explosive until he injured his shoulder. Remember that one dunk he put on Sczerbiak earlier this year?
