<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">83% of the time the home team has won a game 7, It's hard for me to pick against the Mavs.</div> But how many of those teams had lost 2 out of 3 games at home already? That said, I have to say that the Mavs are the favorites to win this game. They didn't seem to be playing with much fire in Game 6, and I expect them to have a much better game. Particularly Dirk and Finley. I wonder, if the Mavs do win the game again by a margin less than 5, would that be the first time a team has one a seven game series without beating the opposing team by more than 5 points?
Congrats to the Mavs for winning. Hopefully they can do better next year though....because PHX is going to get hand them some painful defeats.
Congatulations Mavs fans! It's always been said that whoever controls the tempo wins the game. The Mavs has been agressive from start to finish. I just hope the Rockets would learn a lesson from this NBA Playoff blowout record and try to compete harder next season. Goodluck against Phoenix. I know it will be a good match-up between MVP Steve Nash, a former Dallas kid and Dirk. Dirk should redeem himself this time and lead the Mavs or else they'll gonna suffer the fate they had inflicted to the Rockets.
Game 7: The Mavs did to the Rockets what the Rockets did to them in game 1 of this series. They dictated tempo and were the aggressors from start to finish. The all-offense Dirk we knew has now been transformed to a more balanced double-double player with some defensive punch. The bench which was practically non-extent in game 6, stepped up and contributed points once expected just from Dirk. Special kudos to Darrel Armstrong who showed how vetaran leadership and poise can be a huge factor in a game 7 for a young team. Special note to the Houston Rockets who pushed Dallas to the hilt. This Rockets team is going to be an absolute juggernaut in the years to come. McGrady was the best player in the series bar none. Yao was the best post player bar none. I'm expecting great things from this Rockets team next year. As for Dallas, I didn't expect them to be as good as they are now. I thought they were at least one year away, so you know I'm enjoying this play-off run for as long as it lasts. I hope that the series against Phoenix won't be as difficult, but just as exciting. Here's to a good play-off run. Go Mavs!!!!!!
See you guys in Phoenix! I have to say that I wanted the Suns to play the Mavs but after watching game seven I dont know. I was very impressed by Josh Howard, his quickness is unreal, and he showed me that he has some offensive game as well. He should matchup great with either Marion or Johnson. I first picked the Suns in five but now I am thinking it's going to be a better series then that.
The Phoenix Suns are a damn good team, and fun to watch. No team in the NBA can out run them. The only thing a team can do is make the game a grind, and force the Suns to play a half-court game (which they're not bad at, but they are better on the run). They must wear down Steve Nash who is the primary engine that makes this offensive machine run. Others can run the point, but not as effectively. Amare will get his (much as McGrady did), but the key is to make it as difficult for him as possible to get the ball. When he does get it give him different looks like they did Yao. They can't stop him, but maybe they can slow him down. This is a damn good Suns team. I hope the Mavs can get the job done.
