Marko Jaric in Purple & Gold? Credit to Zhengi @ LG: David Vassay on AM 570 reports that Jaric is interested in switching locker rooms. I love Jaric. He definitely fits the bill of a tall guard that can initiate the triangle. I greatly miss having tall combo guards in the Laker backcourt ala Shaw and Harper.
Wow if the Lakers can land Jaric, they would have a nice backcourt. Also, I think this is good for the Clippers as well because Shaun livingston needs playing time to develop so trading away Jaric could be a good move.
I'd like the Lakers to bring Jaric in with the MLE and start him at the point. He's the big guard PJax likes to use in the Triangle offense, and Jaric has great court vision, high basketball IQ, and can drain the open 3point shot. Jaric is also an underated defender on the ball. A backcourt of Jaric (6'7) and Kobe (6'6) will be a tough match-up for teams. I also like Jaric's ability to play both guard spots to give Kobe a rest and then bring in Chucky off the bench. With Jaric handling the ball, Chucky can just spot up for 3's and use more energy on defense.
Lakers should try to get Darko from Detroit. i hate Larry Brown for not playing that guy ..... he has to be the only Rookie drafted that high and be getting No Play for this long.
I think Jaric would be an alright addition, simply because he adds size...but I'm not convinced of his game yet...he averaged mediocre numbers for a mediocre team, around 9 ppg or so with 5/6 assists...hes a decent shooter, but I just dont see him as a huge difference-maker for the lakers...they need so many things first, such as height and bench depth...
Marko Jaric is awesome but i mean even he wouldnt give any hope to the lakers ever since they lost shaq they have been horrible they need a big man cuz vlade is about to retire and mihm or w/e hes alright but hes no shaq
^^Kingsballa the max size for sigs is 468x100 The Clippers plan on re-signing Jaric so expect him back with them next season. He might do a 1-year deal and then become unrestricted. I don't think he wants to play second fiddle to the Shaun Livingston Era.
switch locker rooms? mean move a couple hundred feet. LoL. (I found it amusing :S). I think it would be a pretyt good move for Jaric and the Lakers. For reasons already stated.

But he's not ready. He's still rail thin and has an inconsistent shot. His body isn't ready to be a starter in this league quite yet, but he'll get there..
I don't see this being realistic... the Clips will match the offer and Jaric will be in a Clipper's jersey like it or not. Although, I agree with what shapecity said. Jaric doesn't want to be second fiddle to the Livingston era which starts this coming year.
