The Jazz played without Andrei Kirilenko (back spasms) and Milt Palacio (left knee).The Spurs methodically built a large lead through three quarters.San Antonio used an 11-2 quarter-ending burst to seize a 28-19 lead after one stanza. Van Exel and Horry drained consecutive threes and Finley's jumper with 13 ticks remaining opened the nine-point edge.Utah trimmed the deficit to 28-23 in the second stanza, but San Antonio embarked on a 12-0 spurt to regain control. Finley's three started the stretch and Duncan's finger roll made the score 40-23 with 7:20 left.The Spurs led 55-38 at the half and 85-66 after three stanzas.San Antonio turned the game into a rout during the early stages of fourth quarter. The Spurs scored the first 12 points of the period to take a 97-66 edge.
