Im looking for those interested in joining an NBA Keeper League here....If we have enough interest, the league would draft asap and play a short season this year....post your interest here
Hey, when this thread turns from an interest thread to a hey-we're-doing-this-and-here's-the-password thread, make sure I'm paying attention.
We would start next season....Id say we draft between 6-10 players....traditional fantasy basketball rules and scoring, but the twist is that you keep the players on your roster from year to year unless you trade or release them....so getting Lebron would mean hes your SF for as long as you wanted....storing young players would be worth it if you think they will eventually be good, but comes at a cost of depth....
15 is likely too many players for this style of league, but we could go as far as 11 I would think....thats 2 deep in every position with an extra spot to deal with injuries....Im looking for a program that will run this type of deal if anyone knows of one or if any of the programmers here would be insterested in trying it....we seem to have enough interest, so im going forward with plans to have this league begin later this year when the NBA begins....as we get closer to the season, we can finalize the details....keep the interest building too, as I will be contacting people from this thread with details....
How will the draft be done? Live or pick by pick in the forums? I'd prefer a live, but pick by pick is probably what I'd have time for
one person has expressed a preference for a forum draft....we can definetly do that, but there are live draft options as well....it can be difficult to find a time that works for everyone, but a forum draft will take several weeks....we have the time though
