That run that Boston went on was far from easy. However, you know how sports go... if it was successful for one team, every other team must try and duplicate it. So, create your own aging 'big 3' from habitual unsuccessful players. How do you think they'd do? Gilbert, McGrady, Amare on the Wizards
I think it'd be more realistic to say Amare, Mcgrady, Arenas on the Suns. Because..well, how would the Wizards find a way to get Amare and McGrady, while keeping Arenas? And why would they want Tmac when they have Butler, who is a year younger, is still reaching his prime, and IMO a better defender? Well, anyways, I'd say it depends on the coaching staff and the supporting cast...so I'm not really sure how to judge this. I'd like to start with Harris, Carter, and Brand as a big 3 in New Jersey...with the current players, 2 players from the 1st round of the draft, and a couple free agents.

If you wanna take Kobe, the other 2 guys have to be losers that always miss the playoffs (i.e. any player on the knicks , lol)and the player has to have minimum 5 years experience (nba), if not then i would have allowed all youth and promise. It will disrupt the integrity of the thread.
Vince Carter (never past the 2nd round), Pau Gasol (never won a playoff series until this year), Yao Ming (never past the first round)

If it was like fantasy basketball, Elton Brand, Steve Nash, and Yao Ming. I only picked guys who haven't won it.
Heres one that could be plausible with some creative manuvering....Starbury, Yao, McGrady....although, McGrady and Starbury may not be able to co-exist, if they all could get along, they have the talent to do it....could work with Arenas in place of Starbury as well
