<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Class of 2010 shooting guard J.T. Terrell verbally committed to Wake Forest on Sunday at the Peach Jam Tournament in Augusta, S.C., according to The Times-News. The 6-3 Terrell chose the Demon Deacons over Miami (Fla.), Virginia and Charlotte.

Terrell was originally recruited by former Wake head coach Skip Prosser but was not sure the they were still interested following Prosser's untimely death last summer. "After Coach Prosser died, I didn't know if they were still going to offer me," Terrell said. "Before he even got the job, Coach (Dino) Gaudio called me and told me that they still had my scholarship on the table and they still wanted to get to know my and my mom and my family. That meant a lot."

ESPN.com's recruiting director Bob Gibbons talks about Terrell's decision. "Commitments continue to accumulate here at the Peach Jam Tournament as a second ACC school received a verbal on Sunday," Gibbons said.

Terrell told ESPN.com, "I just felt that Wake Forest was the right place for me. I really like Coach Dino Gaudio and his fine staff, and think that I will fit in with their players and system." Terrell is the second guard from North Carolina to commit to the Demon Deacons in the past week. He joins 2009 point guard C. J. Harris of Winston-Salem. Terrell is the initial Class of 2010 commitment for Wake Forest.

Gibbons calls Terrell a well-rounded student-athlete. "J.T. is an excellent student, and had an outstanding sophomore season at Cummings, averaging 25.7 points per game, and played well at the 2008 NBPA Top 100 Camp in Charlottesville, Va., this past June.," Gibbons said.</div>
