Re: Welcome to the United States! Smart choice lad. (have always wanted to use that word in a sentence (lad)) lol
Re: Welcome to the United States! I like the DC United one just because I own a Volkswagen Golf so gotta represent the company somehow.
Re: Welcome to the United States! DC United looks the most like a European...ummm...kit? Do you call jerseys kits in the UK? Galaxy one looks nice too
Re: Welcome to the United States! A jersey is just a jersey (or a shirt by some people). A kit is the jersey, shorts and socks.
Re: Welcome to the United States! To me, anything with a sponsor on front looks more traditional for this era.
Re: Welcome to the United States! Is this soccer-related Euro-snobbery from someone who doesn't know what a kit is?
Re: Welcome to the United States! The comment was more about the Euro-snobbery that happens with our soccer in the US. The idea that something is more European/British and therefore better is all over the fandom in the country.
Re: Welcome to the United States! I don't understand. The MLS are trying to make the States as passionate as they are in European fans. It can't hurt to compare, can it?
Re: Welcome to the United States! I'm just saying the jersey is nice. I was thinking after my post that a kit is probably the entire uniform. I think that the jerseys in Europe look better overall because they set the standard. If the MLS wants to be successful at all, they should emulate Europe, which is what they've been trying to do. Look at Toronto FC, they have the greatest fan base in the MLS because of their international fans.
