Pretty simple, vote for the winner of this matchup. Winner advances to play the winner of the 2/7 series. Los Angeles Lakers - CelticKing C: Tyson Chandler / Francisco Elson / Patrick O'Bryant PF: Lamar Odom / Juwan Howard SF: Jamario Moon / Matt Barnes SG: Dwyane Wade / Tony Allen PG: Derek Fisher / Eddie House / Gabe Pruitt Houston Rockets - DynastYWarrioR6 C: Marcus Camby / Robin Lopez PF: Carlos Boozer / Sean Williams SF: Rashard Lewis / Andres Nocioni / Jarvis Hayes SG: Kyle Korver / Aaron Afflalo / Devin Brown PG: Jason Terry / Javaris Crittenton
I believe that if we are comparing our starting 5’s, I have the team that is more offensively well-rounded. I think when we consider outside shooting, there is no contest. Who on the Lakers can shoot from long range? I expect Wade and Fisher, but that is it from that starting 5. Whereas, I have Terry, Korver, and Rashard as competent shooters from outside. Boozer is also a great shooter from midrange and with his back to the basket. Defensively, my starting lineup can be considered weak, but nothing a zone can’t fix. Also I have height on my lineup, and I still don’t see Lamar playing great from the PF position. If we are looking at the benches, I believe my bench is better and more well-rounded. I have a ton of energy coming out with young guys, like Williams, Lopez, Crittenton, and Afflalo. Those young guys, I believe, are quite serviceable playing defense. Afflalo has proven that he can play great D. Crittenton is a gamble on his man to man, but the kid has got speed. Lopez is toted as a defensive player and rebounder, and in this lineup that is all he is being asked to do. Williams, although foul-prone, won’t have to worry as much due to a reduced role from his starting job in New Jersey, and will be depended on to play some D and be highly energetic on both ends, which I think he is more than capable of doing. Nocioni is the sparkplug and key to the bench. He is the passionate player that any team would want, and not only that the man can play. He’s a great defender of the SF position; however, he is slower against smaller, quicker offensive players. He can by slashing, cutting, OR shooting, which is a great repertoire to have on the bench. Jarvis Hayes and Devin Brown are guys who will be recycled in and out of the lineup frequently with the younger guards, or as insurance for any injuries. Both of these guys are proven, and when they share the same minutes with the bench guards, the liability of having young guards is reduced due to this insurance. I think overall, my team is more well rounded, and superior offensively, despite facing a Dwayne Wade led team. I just think I have more options.

That means Wade will see constant double teams. rockets have better bench with Nocioni. In a 7 game series I take rockets
No one on the Lakers can create any offense except Wade...and Odom to a smaller extent, but I don't think you want Odom being one of the only players who can create, that just would breed disaster.
That's why I think the only offense on that squad is coming from Wade. And as great as the man is, he cannot beat my team by himself. And defensively, I think their defense is coming from Wade and Chandler. Fish is gonna do his flopping. Moon will only provide weakside blocks, kind of like someone on my squad. Lamar zones out too much when he is on helpside D. I'm not saying my defense is much better, but his offense is limited and his defense isn't great. Which means that they are nowhere near the level they need to be, to beat my team.
HOLY CRAP?! Where did all those votes come from?! Not that I don't mind Also, just to elaborate again, because I forgot to in my previous post, but I still believe that I have the stronger bench.
