Pretty simple, vote for the winner of this matchup. Winner advances to play the winner of the 1/5 series. Chicago Bulls - Denny Crane C: Samuel Dalembert / Nazr Mohammed / Melvin Ely PF: David Lee / Glen Davis SF: Andre Iguodala / Quinton Ross SG: Ronnie Brewer / Kirk Snyder PG: Gilbert Arenas / Earl Watson / Marcus Williams Milwaukee Bucks - kk30 C: Jeff Foster / Andray Blatche PF: Amare Stoudemire / Tim Thomas / Josh Powell SF: Gerald Wallace / Antoine Wright SG: Paul Pierce / Rashad McCants / Willie Green PG: Mike Bibby / Sebastian Telfair
this is pierce's big series, he won't have to work as hard on the defensive end and can focus more on offense
He might. Mike Bibby sucks at defense, and Gilbert Arenas is a good scorer. You might need to have Peirce guard Gilbert to try to counter him.
Non capisco... I disagree with this, I feel Arenas is the better scorer and you'd rather have the best perimeter defensive player on the best perimeter scorer. Right?
Well I thought about that...but I think you'd rather put Gerald Wallace on Brewer and keep Bibby on Arenas. Wallace could use his weakside help and blocking skills to sag off Brewer who you can leave open for jumpshots. I think Wallace would be best utilized on Brewer and take advantage of his athleticism for help defense on the perimeter/penetration. If you put Pierce on Arenas, then Wallace has to guard Iguodola, because Bibby guarding Iggy is a nightmare.
Ah, I see. That's a nice thought, I can't argue against that reasoning. Gerald's specialty is help defense - with steals and blocks.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...vLYF?slug=ap-wizards-arenas&prov=ap&type=lgns gilbert just had his third operation on his left knee. He looked horrible in the post season last year and hes not going to average more than 20 ppg next year guaranteed. That being said hes still the best scorer on Denny's team. I'll will put Bibby on him and I'll put Wallace on Brewer so he can help out. Also a 3-2 zone might be effective as I'm really not scared of Dalembert and Lee inside. Gilbert is also a horrible defender himself so watch out for Bibby making some big threes. Denny's bench is real suspect as Kirk Snyder and Ross will have to be the first swingmen coming off it. Keep in mind Brewer only averaged 27 mins last year and even less in the playoffs. So obliviously he still has to work on his endurance
