Playoff-bound Impact finish season with 0-0 tie against Puerto Rico MONTREAL — The playoff-bound Montreal Impact wrapped up their United Soccer Leagues First Division regular season with a 0-0 tie against the Puerto Rico Islanders on Sunday. The Impact (12-12-6) finished in third place. The Islanders (15-6-9) finished first. The Impact had already qualified for the playoffs before the match. They'll face the sixth-place Seattle Sounders in the quarter-finals. "Even if the game did not mean anything, it was important for us to have a good result," said Impact captain Mauro Biello, who was starting his first game since August 20. Leighton O'Brien put Seattle ahead to stay when he scored off a penalty kick in the 41st minute. Hugo Alvarez-Cuellar scored the others Sounders' goal. Stefano Pesoli scored the lone goal for the Impact. In the 78th minute, Sounders' Kevin Sakuda was given a red card, but the Impact weren't able to capitalize on the opportunity to tie the game against 10-man Seattle.
