Drazen Petrovic, the former Nets star who was tragically killed in a car accident 13 years ago on Germany's autobahn, will have a Memorial in Croatia dedicated towards him. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/bask...ic.memorial.ap/ <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A memorial center dedicated to Drazen Petrovic opened Wednesday, containing his No. 3 New Jersey Nets jersey and the watch that stopped when he died in a car crash 13 years ago.Launched by Petrovic's mother and co-financed by the government, the center features 1,000 memorabilia items and a video of his basketball highlights. Petrovic died at 28 in Germany in 1993.</div>

13 years later is a little late to start opening his memorial. Man to bad he died, he could have been so much to the Nets franchise. With only 4 seasons he still deserves to be in the Hall of Fame

Its truely a shame what happened to him and I wish he coul have continued his career because I think he would have made his mark in the league. Im glad he is getting a memorial, but like you said, 13 years does seem very delayed..
