I never said if gay marriage is right or wrong. But some people's religion (like Christianity) calls gay marriage unholy and sinful. So it factors into voting.

I have nothing against gays, but for centuries a family has consisted of and been made of: A man and a woman. Not two dudes or two women. I've got no problem with gays, my problem is their agenda. They shove their agenda in America's face--that is why they will never be accepted. They can't go about things subtly, everything with gays is over the top.

I also don't want my children to be preached to about gays and marriage in elementary school.

That's usually the most common argument against gay marriage, but I find it to be circular reasoning.

You don't want to change traditional marriage because...it's not traditional marriage.

As for the subtly thing, you can see a parallel with the 1960's Civil Rights movement. It takes A LOT to fight against bigotry that is so entrenched in our society. Plus, how would you feel if you were being unfairly persecuted. You'd be pretty pissed, right?
