Because this country was founded by people escaping religious persecution and this countries Constitution was written based on religious values and morals.
This country was founded on making the best out of your life and your opportunities. Who's religious morals and values? If a religion comes along that says gay marriage is fine, should we allow it? Or is Christianity automatically right?
The Constitution was written based on the morals, values, and beliefs of the religions of the founding forefathers.
I never said if gay marriage is right or wrong. But some people's religion (like Christianity) calls gay marriage unholy and sinful. So it factors into voting.
You guys don't want gay marriage. Geez, I have a gay friend and i don't believe he should have ANY right different then me. Fuck religion.
Fixed. I've yet to find a convincing argument for instituting legal discrimination of an entire group that don't affect you at all.
Mamba is against gay marriage... I never said whether I was for or against, so... STFU Direct your attacks to him, not me. Thank you. - Lost One
I have nothing against gays, but for centuries a family has consisted of and been made of: A man and a woman. Not two dudes or two women. I've got no problem with gays, my problem is their agenda. They shove their agenda in America's face--that is why they will never be accepted. They can't go about things subtly, everything with gays is over the top. I also don't want my children to be preached to about gays and marriage in elementary school.
And Mamba said this before on JBB. A gay marriage adopts a kid and the kid thinks it's normal to be gay and has gay marriage and it turns into a cycle. It would stop reproduction. Not that big of chance, but there still is one. And religion factors in as well. I've heard this before and say it here, God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.
