http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3805670 Props to Peyton. Well deserved. You must be happy huevon Found it kind of weird Chris Johnson received a vote. Is he really that good? I think Michael Turner should've been in the conversation as well.
I personally think this was a pretty undeserving year for Peyton, no offense. But when AP carries a very, very, very mediocre Vikings team on his back to a division title, as well as Pennington being a huge reason for the 'Philns turnaround, I think there were better options.
Manning has no run game. No Pass D and no Run D. And they are still 12-4 and a good chance to make the Super Bowl. He is the MVP in my books.
Wow, Chris Johnson got a vote and DeAngelo Williams didn't. Chris Johnson is so incredibly overrated it's not even funny. He shouldn't even be in the Pro Bowl.
There were far better options, but the media has Manning's cock so far down their throat that they'll never admit it. Pennington, Turner, and Peterson were all just as, if not more so, qualified for the award.
To say that he was "pretty undeserving" is overzealous. If you want to make the case for someone else go ahead but that kind of description is over the top. Turner and AP are RBs that are not having epic seasons, which a RB usually needs to overcome the most important position in football. Chad was not having a clearly better season with a slightly better passer rating but not being the focal point of defenses. And Mamba/Moo you were making the case for Kobe's wins, over the other MVP candidates last year, so I find that very hypocritical of you.
The NFL chose to make Peyton their poster boy a long time ago and the only way he won't win MVP is when somebody has a year that is dramatically better than his.
I don't really care about either guy, but they're both great and both are probably more underrated than overrated right now.
You're right. Manning had an off year for him statistically and he still wins it. Michael Turner had 1700 yards, 17 TDs, 2 200 yard games, and led the turnaround of the ATL Falcons. But he is a virtual unknown, so of course the media is going to suck Peyton's cock. Giving the MVP to Manning would be nice if he deserved it, however, he wasn't even the best QB in the league.
