If option one came to pass I'd feint.

I've got to believe that the Wizards are going to insist on shedding Etan Thomas and getting back some real potential talent in return (Rudy, Bayless, Batum) in addition to an immediate impact guy like Travis for that to happen (which I would do in a heartbeat).

Maybe this just underscores how much fear there is in the league about becoming financially insolvent?

Letting the Wiz dump Etan goes a long way for making any Butler deal work. He's still got a $7 mil player option for next year that's got to be tough for them to swallow.

i think its safe to say.... its either gonna be Jefferson or butler.

forget wallace and carter...kp would never add carter unless harris was involved. carter doenst fir the 3 year plan at all. butler def does which is why hes still my pick.

Why in your trade does ESPN show Webster having a -8.51 PER?

On another note, Butler does make a lot of sense and would be my pick from the more plausible possibilities.

The difference between you and the other 90% who throw these trade FANTASIES out is that at least you acknowledge it's a fantasy. Others will throw out a Trout, Frye & Raef for Butler, Jefferson and Wallace with a straight face and then throw a hissy fit that KP hasn't been able to figure out how to get it done.

Probably because in the 5 minutes he has played this season, he did nothing but miss a shot.

Actually, I think we could get RJeff for just Raef. The Bucks are not going to be able to compete this season, and they have to think about resigning Sessions and CV. Sergio hurts the deal though because he's such a terrible player.

It's the Sessions inclusion which caused me to suggest that MIL would turn down the deal. I seriously doubt that they're willing to part with him if it's at all avoidable.

Milwaukee is an interesting team to me. They just traded a talented young player and a shorter contract for Jefferson. Are they going to turn around and trade Jefferson for a young player and shorter contract just because the veterans they were trying to pair him with got injured? What direction do they go in now?

    Hello darkness, my old friend
We can afford to be more generous than that. ;)

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...1707~851&teams=27~27~27~27~22~22~22&te=&cash=

If we're getting back a good, young-ish small forward, we can afford to give up Batum.

Assuming Washington wants cash relief, this at least also gives them some talent in return but is still a great deal for Portland in pure talent terms. (Dixon is included just to make salaries match.)
