Starts tonight with Oden and Rudy taken on the sophmores! Kick some ass boys! 6:00pm (PT) tonight on TNT. http://www.nba.com/2009/allstar2009/01/16/rookie.challenge/index.html
Technically, the first Blazer will appear in the Celebrity game at 4pm PST. I'm not sure I can watch that lineup just to see Clyde and Dominique, but still.
The celebrity game is always a brutal thing to watch. Hopefully Greg and Rudy get a few highlights in and then rest a lot.
I'd bet around 25 minutes apiece, depending on foul trouble. This just seems like the kind of game where Rudy could dominate if his shot is on. Last year, Gibson just sat there, open from three, jacking up all night. No defense, lots of shooting. Of course, the year before, David Lee dominated, so who knows?
TNT Saturday 5:00-8:00pm 5:30 - Haier Shooting Stars 6:00 - PlayStation Skills Challenge 6:30 - Footlocker 3pt Shootout 7:15 - Sprite Slam Dunk Sunday 5:00-8:00pm 5:35 - 58th NBA All-Star Game
they would fucking put the slam dunk contest when im going to be going to dinner with my girlfriend.... god damn it
It won't be brutal this year. The game is comprised pretty much of former NBA players, Terrell Owens (College Basketball player), 2 WNBA players, Harlem Globetrotters, and then like 2 actors.
I think Rudy should be awesome to watch tonight. He should be playing his style, which is perfectly suited for all-star games.
Did I just see KingSpeed interviewing James Denton for Extra on the court before the celebrity all-star game? Probably not, but they guy looked a lot like Eric.
Anyone else watching the East practice on NBA TV? Dwight Howard is trying to set a Guiness record by making a shot sitting down at halfcourt... pretty crazy upper body strength. Devin Harris set a record on fastest run from endline to endline. Then they had a halfcourt shooting contest.. I want to see some B-Roy!
haha.. Chauncey was going for the Guiness record for most FTs made while blindfolded. The record was five, Chauncey had five as the clock was about to expire. He threw up his last shot and B. Roy thought it was over, and put a shot up and knocked Chauncey's last FT out of the hoop and it didn't count. There you go B Roy!
