The New Jersey Nets and Houston Rockets have exchanged trade proposals and continue to talk, according to league sources and sources close to the Nets. One scenario has Carter and Josh Boone going to Houston for Ron Artest, Carl Landry and Luther Head. But another Texas team remains very much alive in the Carter sweepstakes. The San Antonio Spurs' package for Carter would include Roger Mason Jr., George Hill and Bruce Bowen, the sources said. The Nets would have to make other moves to clear roster room for the additional players they take back http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rumors;_ylt=AnyEWlpGd_7GNDfkZ9.rI0G8vLYF
Well, considering we offered Derek Anderson, Nick Van Exel and our #3 pick the last time we tried to trade for VC, I'm not surprised.
Wow, I know a fair amount on here wouldn't, but I'd do that in a heartbeat. It's a better package than what Houston is offering.
I continue to think that we're going to make two trades. One including RLEC. The other including our other expiring contracts/options (Frye, Diogu, Outlaw, Blake) plus a draft pick. One for a SF, one for a PG.
Really????? Sean Williams is an underachieving idiot headcase asshole - and those are his good qualities. The dude basically got kicked out of the D-League. New Jersey had to recall him because their D-League team had enough of his shit. He sounds like a taller, less talented version of Bonzi Wells. Do we really want that on our team? BNM
Yeah, if the VC deal doesn't include RLEC I might do it for scrubs. VC isn't really worth that much in my view.
get me carter, jefferson or butler....i dont fucking care as long as sergio and outlaw are gone. as long as we upgrade at SF i will be content...i cant take batum anymore as a starter
Do you have a PG in mind for this target? I can see the SF targets all over the rumor vine. PG though, seems very limited.
That trade doesn't sound to bad to me. My only concern is does Vince give us stability for a nice run in the next five years?
eh...it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, but: 1.) He doesn't help our greatest weakness - defense. 2.) While he's not a head case, he's also not exactly the guy I want providing veteran leadership. 3.) He will want a good amount of shots, and I don't think some of our guys, like Oden, get enough as is. 4.) He is much older than our nucleus. 5.) He's the 18th highest player in the league and is signed through the 2010-2011 season.
