the last few times I've written something up in Word and pasted it into a thread, there have been >> added to each return and some stupid emoticons smillies too.
I can't see the smillies when I post on IE6 (at work) but I see them on Firefox when I get home.

any thoughts ideas as to why that's happening?

Today I had it happend again in my first post in a thread, so I switched to wordpad. Not sure if that's making a different or not and I won't until I get home....

It is the site you pasted from. Has hidden smilies that show up when you paste here. Nothing I can do about it.

Maybe your Word is set to show hidden characters, such as line breaks, which are being translated by this site into smiles. See if you can disable hidden characters in Word, maybe. Otherwise use Notepad. That little program has never let anyone down.

Hey Denny, I'm copying and pasting from Word, not another site.

Reveal formatting is not turned on, but I'll stick to wordpad as I started using it after the inital post and I didn't see smillies on any other posts.

Mamba, if I were flirting with you.. you'd know it ;) :p
