Nash, Kobe, LeBron, Dirk have all won MVPs in the past couple of years and NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM has won the championship.
Lakers reach the finals but couldn't get it done.
Cavs this year are most likely not making the finals.
Suns everyone knows their story, bad luck after bad luck.

I truly believe the trophy is cursed!

i dunno, if the trophy is cursed, then that means the world is gonna end in 2012, and new world order will start taking over soon.

if thats the case then we have no option but to buy ak47s and start killing pple

If everyone is killing each over than it would be a self fulfilling prophecy and the world would end.

I don't think the MVP trophy is cursed, I just think the wrong people have won it in most of those years.

Also, the MVP award has nothing to do with the best team in the NBA.

I am not sure why we should expect that the MVP winner should also win the championship.

Actually, recent winners have been the best player on one of the best, if not the best team. It has gone to teams that were one of the favourites to win it all or had a significant chance to win it all. But yeah, overall, the trophy has no correlation to a championship.

If you have the best player on the best team in the league u dont expect the team to win a championship?

I disagree. Look at some of the recent winners. Kobe, LeBron, Nash, Dirk...all of their teams were either the best or 2nd best team in the NBA that year. Anymore, it goes to best player on one of the top couple teams in the NBA. Hence why Kobe doesn't have 3 MVPs.

The key to winning a championship is having multiple really good players or stars. The more stars you have on the team, the less likely any one of them will get MVP votes.
