because all the championship teams now for the past 9 years have several international players on the team and that in order to win in the nba you need a mix of inter and american players to get the mix of skill you used to get back in the 80s and back. The US game lost a lot when the Jordan and Magic era were in full swing US game went one way FLASH and Dash not the fundamentals which the Inter game went.

so you say that the all american teams are the truth when ummm well 2 teams have won with no international players? Seems to me that since 2000 a total of seven teams have.

Who cares if they are international are not? The question is can they play and succeed in the NBA? and I think it has been PROVEN that they can...so if POR mgmt sees a player that they like and think can help this team now or down the road then they shoudl draft him...plain and simple...

One of the nice things about european players is that you can draft them and then have them play\develop in europe for several years before you look to bring them over....which IMO is very useful for NBA teams...

so in a way they are cus of the lux tax and cap....you can keep them over there and dont have to do an outlaw on them...wait wait wait.....nedzad never cut it so he never got a roster spot if he was american he would have taken up a slot if he was a 1st rounder just an example...

but Jonas looks like a guy todraft if Joel Freeland never comes over....
