Is there video of the stamp anywhere? I've been hunting without success.

It's an absolute disgrace, I saw an interview with Graham Poll earlier today and he was indicating that he wouldn't be surprised if Adebayor gets more than a 3 match ban as the FA is trying to get rid of serious foul play, given the recent history (i.e. Ben Thatcher on Pedro Mendes). I agree; he deserves a huge ban and there is no place for that in football. An absolute disgrace.

I had to watch that second time. The second replay on that clip doesn't show Adebayor looking down and changing where his foot was going to hit Van Persie in the face. The first one is pretty clear, but that second one make it look like it was in the flow of catching his balance.

    Four or five games please.

City are in talks with their legal team in a bid to save Adebayor from a potential four-match suspension following Football Association charges of violent conduct and improper conduct as a result of his actions against the Gunners.

Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor appeared to recreate his controversial celebration from Saturday's 4-2 win over his old club Arsenal after scoring in training on Tuesday. The Togo striker, who has been charged with improper conduct for running down the pitch to celebrate in front of Gunners fans, smiled as he ran and slid to his knees in front of his team-mates.

I say give him at least 10. Pepe got 10 for almost kicking someone. Adebayor actually steps on his face. Fucking disgrace.

Technically, I believe Pepe got 10 for kicking a guy in the shin, then raking his cleats across his back, then leaning with his knees in his back, then punching/grabbing someone else in the throat when confronted about it.

But I'd agree that a rake across the face deserves a comparable suspension to Pepe's list of infractions.

Three games for the stamp, probably one more coming for the incitement.

When I saw it happen I didn't think it was intentional but other angles made it look like he raked RVP's face with his boot.

Good job by Adebayor trying to show up all the Arsenal fans and in so doing proving them all right. He is a flake.

He also made a horrible tackle of Fabregas in the same game; stamped on his ankle

Yeah, Fabregas was saying something about that on the Arsenal website and I believe I saw an article related to that event on BBC.

So, he ran the length of pitch just to jeer the Arsenal fans, scraped van Persie's face with his boot, and stamped on Fabregas' ankle... What a player.
