Wow ive never seen where one team dominated so bad in time of possesion and lose the game. I know a win is a win but the patroits held on for life there. Damn drew bennett must feel like shit after two incredible catches, to only drop a easy 1 in the end. Great teams find ways to win, as the pats won another. Carolina wow what a game.

It's a shame that he didn't make that last catch. I was rooting for overtime. New England will host another cold game next week and it doesn't look good for either KC or Indy at this point. Carolina was impressive to say the least. I had picked the Rams to make it to the SB, but it looks like Carolina could very well be representing the NFC this year. Great defense, limiting the Rams to only 1 touchdown. Remember, if GB wins today, the NFC Championship will be played in Carolina.
The officials handed New England the game on that holding penalty two plays earlier. The D-Lineman fell down, he wasn't pulled down. At least that's how it looked on replay. The NFL Countdown guys were saying the officials should have let them play at that point and I agree, but hey...that's why they say football is a game of inches. It was a tough, but well deserved win for the Pats.
Well said Kenn. Some people say that there was pass interference on that last play, but I really didn't think so. But there wasn't holding on the play you're speaking of either. The refs botched the call by not letting them play. The Lineman came through and tripped and holding was called. That's not good officiating in a big game. Sometimes I think they get overzealous on some of those types of calls.
Atleast it wasn't Walt Coleman who made the call. I sure wouldn't mind him being the ref at the upcoming game though, you'd think any close plays would be given to New England since we are the first team to retire the number of an official. The Most Valuable Official of 2001.
