Just got mine 3 hours ago after a rough 9-hour schedule at school. Here's what I like about 2k10 so far after playing it non-stop for 2 hours: - More details, more in-depth with info. Wow, NBA 2K10 has really come a long way since 2k1 where it was the basic select franchise>play-begin>virtual mediocrity>finish unsatisfied - My player. Just been great so far. WHats even better is i can team up online with my boys from Chicago and Atlanta. And one Canadian, but he sucks. - Game's graphics are getting more real every year it's at about 8/10 right now - New 2k share draft class enabling you to create and edit each year's draft class which makes it a helluva lot easier to have John Wall, Ed Davis, Cole Aldrich, etc. in next years franchise - Ratings are pretty accurate and well-balanced compared to the years before where teams like the Lakers would have 4 players ranked in the 80's. What I didn't like: - The gameplay has become more restricted this year (at least I think so). The flow and smoothness to the game from last year have regressed and its pretty noticeable (at least on PS3) Thats all I can really think of right now, and quite frankly, I'm wondering why I'm typing this rather than running some 2k with my roommate. He says, "JEEEEEEEERSEEEEEEY STAND UP!" Jersey and all its habitants suck. What are your thoughts on 2K10 thus far?
The new turbo system has been killing me lol, and I don't like the menu layout. Everything else seems legit. No more blurry courts!
the menu layout is alright, it's definitely a new look compared to the same one the past 4 years lol.
Much like last year, the opponent still gets to many easy shots in the paint. That needs to be fixed.
One thing I noticed, the CPU makes way too many open shots. I understand the raise in FG% with those shots, but 100% is kind of ridiculous. Obviously some of these problems including game speed can be tweaked with sliders, but you know what i mean.
Do you guys know how to change the minutes in My Player mode? I've seen the workaround, but it didn't work for me though. :|
Unfortunately, you're stuck with 5 minutes. A good thing is that this is 'My Player's first year and its already on the right track (y)
I sorta came to the conclusion that that will never be fixed. 2K just doesn't care about it. It's sorta like how the pick and roll works 90% of the time and can't be stopped. I was playing a friend today and he had 50 points with Dwight Howard all from pick and rolls. Does anyone know how to stop it?
All I can think of of stopping pick and rolls is to anticipate the pass and go for the interception/deflection. It's what I usually do, problem though is that it's hard to correctly time interceptions and you might just leave your man open. :| @authentiq - Some people over at 2K forums were actually able to edit the minutes. Lots of guys there play 8-10 mins. per game in My Player mode. They showed how you do it, but it doesn't work for me. Btw, same here, my player leads the league in FG% (I'm a PG) cause I do like Tony Parker and just score on layups. lol
From some quick research, in order to change play time in My Player mode, you need to have bought Draft Combine. I gotta say, as a fan of the 2k series since the original 2k with AI on the cover, this is probably by far the worst one. They made changes that were unnecessary (like Iso motion) and seems like they released the game before ever testing it and before it was ready.
Ok, i need some serious help... Here's the story... Stareted with the Lakers, got cut... but the 29 other teams invited me to their training camp. Got cut on the last day and played in the D-League... Then Minnesotta offered me a 10-day contract... Since then i've played 13 games and after every game the assistant always tells me that there are a couple of teams that want to recruit me but no list come up... whats up with that??? Ive been averaging an A+ team rating, 14ppg, 7apg, 2spg Please help LOL
damn... im the starting PG of the lakers in my player mode, my rtg is 61 while averaging 14pts 13assists... but damn, the lakers traded away odom for Kidd and he isnt even being used since im the starting PG. before that the lakers traded fisher for louis williams. there are times that our 5 players on the court are Me - Williams - Kidd - Kobe - Gasol. thats just messed up...
I'm a 3pt shooter who avgs. 13pts 6asts and 2stls a game. I come off the bench for Miami, and Miami didn't really trade anyone away (it's 2010-2011 season btw). Miami starters: PG: Mario Chalmers SG: Dwayne Wade SF: Michael Beasley PF: Luis Scola C: Jermaine O'Neal They have Me, Udonis Haslem, Larry Hughes, and Steve Blake off the bench for the team. Pretty decent team if I may say so myself.
This 2010-11 season is kinda fun. I just played the Nets. Starters: PG: Devin Harris SG: Rudy Gay SF: Terrence Williams PF: Brandan Wright C: Brook Lopez Key Bench: Keyon Dooling Yi Jianlian Raja Bell The current Nets would kill for that, methinks.
This game is amazing. I'm playing association mode, and start the season. First game, during intros, I found it weird that there was no one walking around on the court. Game starts, and everyone is invisible. I can play and all, but everyone is invisible, just a floating ball.
