Good, if the guy is a wicked good drunk driver then good for him. I would rather they pull over shitty drivers who aren't drunk.

I'm a perfectly responsible consumer of alcohol. You should know that by now.

Now, when it comes to consumption of good food? I'm not so sure. ;)

Got to agree with the ruling.

There can be no excuse for unlawful search and seizure. The end cannot justify the means.

I have called 911 and followed drunk drivers until the cops arrived 4 times in the last 2 years alone. Then I fell back and watched. All 4 times they followed the drunks until they made a mistake (a matter of a minute or 2), then arrested them and jailed them.

I had a very good friend whom I worked with at the Army Corps of Engineers for 11 years. He was an alcoholic who drank a fifth a day, every day. He had done that since he was 12 or so. He died in his 50's from what it did to his body.

But oddly enough he never appeared drunk and was one of the most competent people I ever worked with anywhere. He was also the happiest, most compassionate person I have know. Since he was always drunk, he learned everything while he was drunk, driving included. I rode with him often and he drove better than most people I know and never scared me except the one time he drove me when he was sober! He literally had trouble staying in his lane or making turns. It was a flip-flop of reality and I told him I'd never ride with him when he was sober again.

Cops have been pulling over black drivers back in my hometown for as long as I have been born, and always find some excuse with which to pull them over. If a cop who receives an anonymous tip on a drunk driver can't come up with some bs excuse, then I dunno what's wrong with them. Is the drubk guy going to remember that he in fact DID use a turn signal? No. Pull them over, tlak to them. See if they stink like booze. If you arrest them for drunk driving, say you pulled them over for 5 over the limit. Slight swerving. Should be pretty easy to get around.

Don't you know the laws out there, the officers are relying on the law of DWB when pulling over Black Drivers . . . Driving While Black
