Congrats to all philly fans eagles battled
back. Some questions i have of the packers.
How do you have success the whole game
with ahman then bail on him on a 4th and 1?

Why dont you blitz mcnabb on a 4th and 26?
Instead you play a cover 2 and let the phillys
wr get open in the middle field, for a huge
    first down.

Last, all players are proffesionals and isnt it the
coaches responsibilty to make sure his special
teams unit is ready to block a game winning fg
in ot? not make its second timeout call, when
    there is no such thing?

    All this goes to coaching.

Eagles didnt play well today and they still won
the game. I do not see philly losing to carolina
in cold brr philly. Bottom line, philly earned this
win today and will go to houston. I cant see
the panthers beating them. This team has
learned from its mistakes and are ready and
    composed like they were today.

last, duce staley can join my tampa team any
    time what a tank.

The only reason I think Carolina has a chance is because they can run the football with 2 different backs and Philly cant stop it....I know Philly has given up huge rushing days and still won all year, but eventually that will catch up to them....

beef, not so fast my friend, everyone knows that points come from the passing game, and that is what separates the eagles from the panthers. Mcnabbs ability to create plays in the passing game will be the difference this week in philly

McNabb is the better passer, Delholme has the explosive weapons, so I think that evens out somewhat....and by the way, factorbacks win games, not passers

well let me tell you a little about a duo of factorbacks, whose impact is not just felt on the ground but in the passing game. Staley + Buckhalter - these two backs would be starters on a lot of teams but Andy reid has made his players believe that winning is more important than individual success and that combined with the super bowl blue print the eagles will win on sunday

All good points, but I must counter by telling you about a quartet of factorbacks that play for the Carolina Panthers....1st, Stephen Davis, I think we all know how effective he can be, Deshawn Foster, maybe the best #2 in the league, could start for half the teams in football, Nick Going, great change of pace, and good in the passing game, and Brad Hoover, H-back extrodinare, and short yardage specialist, actually did start for the Panthers at taailback for a season, add those 4 to the WR's Steve(im gonna win the damn game with a long catch and run) Smith, Moose Muhammed, and Rick Prohel...+ that awesone defense, they have the right stuff to go all the way to Houston and get shreaded by the unstoppable Manning

    Bearsfan,

I agree and the panthers with stephen davis health
is uncertain if he plays this weekend. If philly is to
see the panthers passing game panthers are in big
trouble. Bobby taylor, dawkins, mike lewis and vincent
if he plays will shut down steve smith easy.

Jake delhome's passes off his backfoot will cost him
    at some point.

An argument could be made that Carolina is more balanced especially w/o Davis.

    Blackadder,beef,

To be honest stephen davis second half
of the season wasnt that great. He didnt
look like the rb from the 1st half season..
Stephen davis looked like the rb that lost
his job to ladell betts, skip hicks and others.

Deshaun foster clearly is the better rb. Ive
always said stephen davis was overated.
Foster has more speed and is the better
pass catching back. Nick goings is third down
back at best. Eagles have been to the nfc
championship game 3 times in 3 years
    they wont lose this one.

Bucs40etrain...you're asking all of the questions Packers fans are asking themselves today. In my opinion, the Pack should have:

    1. Kicked the field goal on fourth and goal before the half to go up 17 - 7.
    2. Run on 4th and 1 to try to seal the win in the 4th
    3. Blitzed on 4th and 26 - all out - as they did in the first three downs
    4. Run the ball in overtime on 1st and 10 rather than pass

Yeah, it's yet another "woulda, coulda, shoulda," but that's why they play the game. I won't take anything away from the Eagles. They won, so they deserved to win.

    Nice game.

I think you guys are being too hard on the blitz thing. They didn't have to blitz there. It was 27 yards!! If you can't stop a 25+ yard pass with 3 rushing and 8 in coverage, you have some serious prevent defense issues. They didn't have to blitz in that case. Blitzing just makes McNabb throw it up on a wing and a prayer. That prayer could be answered with fewer back in coverage. I think it is still a prayer with 8 back.
