Arsenal attempts to stretch its unbeaten streak in all contests to 13 games tomorrow with a win over Wolverhampton. Arsenal last competed on Wednesday easily dispatching AZ at Emirates in Champions League play. Arsenal got a boost in the game with the return of Samir Nasri who scored in the 43rd minute.

    Expected line-ups:

Arsenal (4-3-3): Almunia, Gibbs, Gallas, Vermaelen, Sagna, Diaby, Song, Fabregas, Arshavin, Van Persie, Nasri
Wolverhamption (4-4-2): Hennessey, Elokobi, Berra, Craddock, Zubar, Kightly, Castillo, Henry, Edwards, Iwellimo, Doyle

Arsenal is currently third in the BPL down three points to Manchester United. They have a game in hand on United as well as first place Chelsea. Arsenal leads the league with over three goals per game.

Wolverhampton is teetering on relegation status in 17th place. They are tied for points with Blackburn (18th) who has a game in hand on them. The Wolves have scraped together only two wins so far this season.

Arsecast says the last time we played Henry scored. Been a while.

    Re: Arsenal v Wolverhampton

    - Wolves have not beaten Arsenal in thirty years, in all competitions.
    - This is Arsenal's first league trip to Molineux since 'The Invincibles' came to town in 2003/04.
    - Despite one of the largest injury lists in the top flight, Arsenal have scored 21 times in the last seven league and cup games.
    - The Gunners have won all six meetings with Wolves under Arsene Wenger.

Fabregas has five goals and nine assists in nine league games. What a fast start he's off to!

Yeah, the assists isn't so amazing to me, it's the goals!

They said he had a great eye for goal when he was younger -- Perhaps he's getting that back. It might just be the new formation we've been using. What a great tactical change-up by Wenger. *swallow*

It seems to me like he's playing off the ball more this season for whatever reason. He typically doesn't get it until well past the half line. Song is the unsung (heh) hero so far in being able to advance the ball through the middle from the defense to the attacking midfield. Without Song's positive play, Fabregas isn't getting the ball in such good positions, IMHO.

Yes, I completely agree. Song has been fantastic behind-the-scenes. Next game I'm going to focus on him as much as possible as your attention usually goes towards the passes.

Sagna has also been performing very well the past couple of games and gets some good crosses in, too. I believe he had two assists a couple of matches ago.

The only player who's shit is Almunia -- Forreal. We should get our hands on Akinfeev, I'm tellin' ya!

I don't think Wenger has shown that he is overly concerned with keeping. I guess he figures we can just outscore everyone. In close games I have no faith at all in Almunia.

I would rather play Mannone in-goal.

For once we aren't scoring own goals.

Wolves looked great for the first twenty or so minutes.

Set piece defense continues to be a concern.

Yeah, this can be worked on with a couple of new names this January? Too bad all the rumors are for attacking players.

I dunno who we'd want to replace right now aside from Manu.
