Robbie Findley (who?), Kyle Beckerman (who?), and coach Jason Kreis (who?) led Real Salt Lake over David Beckham (yes, that one), Landon Donovan (yes, that one), and coach Bruce Arena (yest, that one) in the MLS Cup.

Mike Magee opened scoring in the 41st for the Galaxy. Findley answered for RSL in the 64th. It was a pretty back and forth game from there on out with both teams getting great chances. Injuries took a big toll in this match as Javier Morales got subbed out at the beginning of the first half after taking a hit from Beckham. For the Galaxy, keeper Donovan Ricketts and rookie of the year defender Omar Gonzalez both were subbed out due to injury in the second half. Regulation ended and both overtimes ended without a goal.

    Here were the penalties:
    LA -- David Beckham (Goal)
    RSL -- Clint Mathis (Goal)
    LA -- Gregg Berhalter (Goal)
    RSL -- Robbie Findley (Goal)
    LA -- Jovan Kirovski (Saved)
    RSL -- Kyle Beckerman (Saved)
    LA -- Landon Donovan (High)
    RSL -- Ned Grabavoy (Goal)
    LA -- Mike Magee (Goal)
    RSL -- Andy Williams (Saved)
    LA -- Chris Klein (Goal)
    RSL -- Chris Wingert (Goal)
    LA -- Edson Buddle (Saved)
    RSL -- Robbie Russell (Goal)

Real Salt Lake win 5-4 on penalties. Nick Raymondo won MVP as the keeper who saved two penalties, including the winner. For the Galaxy, it was a tough loss, but you could start to see it coming once Donovan missed from the penalty spot. If he hit, as he usually does, the Galaxy go up 3-2 with Grabavoy stepping up.

Overall, this was a huge upset for RSL as they become the first team to finish the regular season with a sub-.500 record. They also had to beat both the number seed in the East (Columbus over two legs in the first round) and the Galaxy last night.

From here, look for Robbie Findley to get a legitimate audition as the speed striker to go with Altidore with the national team in the January friendlies. Kyle Beckerman could get another shot as well depending on the injury situations for Maruice Edu and Jermaine Jones.
