Do I have to have an hdtv to notice the good quality, to get the quality of a blu-ray movie. i found a little 22" fullhd tv but its 500 bucks, the PS3 comes in a pack for 500 bucks so its alot more money spent with the tv. I really do want great quality but i dont want to spend to much...any advice would be appreciated
Much better with HDTV, check out Best Buy, they have a 32" Sony for 400 bucks. And yes get PS3, got mine couple months ago and I love it. (free online playing, etc)
oh and i live in australia, i dont think we have best buy. but a place called jbhifi has a few good deals, but nothing really under 500. okay so i think im easily convinced, i need to get hdtv...
I had regular tv in my room for the ps3, have hdtv in the living room for hd television. and just yesterday got hdtv for the bedroom and it's a big difference, I mean I've played ps3 on regular tv, still fun etc but you can see the difference. (more realistic, like being in a movie) and get modern warfare 2 if you can, best game of the year IMO, everyone plays it, great for online. Where in Australia you live?
i live in the city, in melbourne... oh yeah i wont get both at once, im going to get the ps3 first, save a bit more money, then get the tv...
Or you could get the 360, who's online community is far better (albeit you have to pay for it, but it's worth it). That's just my opinion though, I love my 360 and have no desire to get a PS3 because of how much I love my 360.
Yea, I was bummed when that happened to me last year too. Thank god for their long-ass warranties though.
yeah 2 guys i work with have the 360, i gave it a try and didnt care too much for it. ive always had a playstation 2, but it died a couple of yeras ago and i havent yet upgraded. i used to play all the nba games and boxing games often and im starting to miss them as im in my holidays for this year, and all i want to do is bum out on my sofa and not have to think. my girlfriend can buy me a few games for my birthday, and my sister or my dad is going to pay for half or a quater of the price of the ps3 as they'll want to use it, so thats a bit of a relief on my wallet...
How long have you had it and what happened? The warranty is 3 years, the first year covering everything and the last 2 covering only the RROD. All you have to do is register it on Mircrosoft.com, let them know what's wrong with it, they'll then send you a box to send it them in, they'll email you when they receive it and email you when it's done and shipped out. It's pretty easy and rather self-explanatory once you actually hop on the website.
Yup, as long as it's RROD. If it was anything else, be prepared to shell out a good chunk of change. In that case, I'd just recommend going out and buying a new one.
I start it up and the ring shows up. And this just happened around 3 or 4 months ago. Hopefully it's nothing else, new ones now cost $300 I believe.
I dunno if its because where you live but here are WAY better deals on TV's http://slickdeals.net/forums/forumd...7&icon=0&tagid=0&sort=lastpost&order=&icon=28
Sounds like RROD. Is 3 red lights or 4? Best hope it's 3, cause that's the RROD and that's covered under all 3 years. New ones, now, are only $200. You could get the Xbox 360 Arcade because you wouldn't need a new HD since you have one (I assume).
those are good deals but once i pay for delivery, plus the difference in price because of the australian dollar being less than the american dollar id end up paying more... ive decided i'll get 32" instead of 22" because my workmate told me i wouldnt really notice much difference on a screen smaller than 30". its a little bit more but id rather just pay through the nose and end up with a great quality image...i do the same thing with my photographic prints o why not do it with my entertainment
