Carling Cup Quarter-Final December 2nd, 2009 City of Manchester Stadium 19:45 UST (2:45 EST) Wenger will field a team comprised of veterans and youngsters though stars such as Arshavin and Fabregas are less likely to play. Jack Wilshire and Craig Eastmond have both been named for the active rotation. Bacary Sagna won't play tomorrow but will be good for the weekend.
Another big match for Arsenal. City are crazy on offense. (meaning attack a lot) Still though I say Arsenal wins 3-2
Interesting to see what teams are fielded. Arsenal wants silverware but won't undermine the youth orientation of the CC to get it. City are desperate to prove they are worthy and may field all of their important starters.
That is Wenger being too proud. He should start some first team players, in my opinion. If City field a strong team and we go with youngsters, I can't see us getting an easy victory.
Arsenal announce 18-man squad for City game Song is the main shock of the squad. He will be featuring in today's game.
Because in all honestly, Silvestre is dreadful and could of been a smart signing but he didn't pull through. In fact, I would say he is the at the bottom of the team, at this point. I would choose Senderos and Djourou over fathead.
Kudos to Wenger. Many managers would see that silver in the distance and ride their stars towards it.
If Valencia is as broke as everyone seems to think they are, Silva and Villa might both be sold this new year.
Man City, desperate for a trophy, fields all their starters against Arsenal's teenagers, wins, then manager Mark Hughes runs his mouth. Bravo, you ponce.
We never do and it's a good way to give our younger players first-team experience against "top-class" opponents.
