Yeah, I'm an OSU fan, but I've got to say from reading the comments leading up to the Civil War that Chipster seems like an okay guy. He's got much more class than 'ol Lielotti had and really seems to be a good sport about things. As much as I despise the Ducks, I think he's an excellent coach for any team and at least seems like a good person.

Sorry, just had to get that two cents in after reading an article with his comments in them...

He may be a great guy....but with the game on the line, I would rather have Riley.

My dislike towards the Ducks has definitely softened since Belotti stopped being headcoach.

OK, Kelly is growing on me. (right next to that patch of moss on my....nevermind)

I still think the Stanford game was a shameful performance - but it seems he may have learned from the experience. That is more than you can say for many coaches, who never admit to making a mistake.

Win the Rose Bowl and finish in the top 10 - that is a darn good job for a first year coach. It just frustrates me that the team was *so close* to being in the BCS picture.

You gotta love the East Coast voters for keeping the ducks out of the BCS picture. I hate the BCS system still.

:D Hell of a job for a first year coach! We gotta lock this guy up for a long time.. we do NOT wanna lose him to a football factory in a few years.. we want him to MAKE this place a football factory.

UO has been a football factory for about the past 8 years.

9 years. In 2000 we were one (final) game from the Rose Bowl and finished in the top 10 (I think). I believe the Beavers showed us whats up though.

I was hating on him after the first couple games, but I think he has come a long way as the HC. I still think he needs to find a real QB next season.

I mean more of one like with more prestige than Oregon. One where he wouldnt have to recruit so hard etc.

I think Oregon has plenty of draw power for recruiting. It's Nike U. for pete's sake.

yes it does have a lot of recruiting power.. but at the same time there is a reason why Oregon was routinely (more recently) the 2nd choice for blue chip kids... Pryor with tOSU, Brown with Tennesee... Clemson with Boyd IMO was more about distance though, I honestly believe if we were closer, we would have had him.

I gotta ask, what more does Masoli have to show you?

No way we need a new QB next year...

Masoli is a heisman candidate that has led the Ducks to 20 wins in 2 years (with one game left to play) -- a Holiday Bowl and a Rose Bowl.

Nothing more the guy could possibly do. I think he is the PERFECT QB for this system. Of course he needs to improve his passing, but he will be a better passer next year.

Show me? Nothing, the guy is damn good. I don't think he'll do much in the NFL but he has become an Oregon legend.

Show you? Once again Wheels is trolling an internet forum looking for "full frontal" pictures of his favorite players. :tsktsk:

Wait...I'm confused. Masoli played 2 years at a JC, and 2 years as a Duck. Unless I am missing something, he is done after the Rose Bowl.

Nike has bought an extra year of eligibility for Masoli from the NCAA.

    Thank you Uncle Phil!
