Two must-win games, two losses for Arsenal and their EPL title hopes have almost certainly faded away. The game against Liverpuddle is not nearly as important as our last two but still carries some weight as Liverpool are right on our heels at the moment. Qualifying for Europe is still our priority so a third or second place finish this season should be the new goal. Liverpool has seemingly turned a corner and are back on the way up so a good performance will be required.
No, I have the case of a team that underachieves for every fucking season. If we're going to do bad, why can't we just do just that? They always get my hopes up and then they take a spluttering fail shit in my face covering my eyes and mouth in some BULL-SHIT.
Huge game for us. In the space of three games we could go from title challengers to struggling for a spot in Europe. A win here will steady our European hopes, and given the yo-yo form of ManUre, and Chelski may even see us back in the title race.
I have zero confidence. I hate to be this sort of fun, but for fuck sake, how many more season are we going to do this?
Hate to make excuses but if we had a healthy team this season we'd be in first place right now, IMHO. Missing RVP, Bendtner, and other players for extended stretches has cost us a lot of points.
Pretty convincing win... even though it seemed like we'd never score we dominated the middle hour of the game and held off Liverpool as if they had nothing to offer... got a bit shaky at the end when they put on the pressure but that's to be expected... Fabregas got away with a handball but it was outside the box.
Crap game. Clichy's yellow should be rescinded (should have been at half time) as Gerrard tripped over his own feet. If Bendtner was even half as good as he thinks he is, he wouldn't need to dive. Great cross from Rosicky for the goal. As for the Fabregas "handball" at the end, firstly it was outside the box, so no penalty (although you wouldn't know that based on some match reports); secondly his hand was in front of his face, so no handball.
Unfortunately it's a recurring theme. We'll be going well before Christmas, even with injuries; then after the break it just becomes too much for too few, they tire out, and we drop games. It also doesn’t help when players sometimes look like they just don’t care enough. How can you expect young midfielders to sprint back in defence, when our captain is just jogging back himself? We need to recruit players with heart, and that aren't made of chalk.
