    The surprising thing to me was that it weighed about the same as a mule deer skull, which is about twice the size. I guess beavers must have incredibly dense bone structure in the skull to withstand the pressure of chewing through wood. The teeth on this guy are just so badass--the picture doesn't really capture them.
