Will the fight be outdoors or is there some kind of retractable roof?
"I'd let Hollinger do my taxes, but I wouldn't let him run my basketball team." - Adam Lauridsen, SJ Mercury News
Doesn't look like that stadium has a roof.
Mike Bisping is interested in rematching Hendo.
Hendo says the only fight he will cut weight for is versus Silva.
Hendo knows he's got 3-5 fights left in him. He only wants the best. Bisping, in no fucking way, world, universe, deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Hendo. The way Hendo knocked him into oblivion left no doubt in anybody's mind who the better fighter is. Bisping can get that rematch hope out of his mind because the same thing will happen.
Ivan Menjivar in to face Renan Barao @ UFC 148, for what is now the number one contenders spot
The UFC is planning a show in 2012 in China at the Venetian Macao's 15,000-seat CotaiArena.
Jake Shield's mixed results at welterweight have prompted him to go back up to middleweight.
Johnson/McCall officially the main event of UFC on FX 3, location still TBA.
Botafogo can hold 80,000 but the UFC is looking to put about 60,000 in it for the show. Dunno how they will configure the seats so everyone can see but it isn't that different than the Rogers Centre (SkyDome). They expect to do only a few thousand more seats than UFC 129.
Lauzon vs. Etim @ UFC on FOX 4, first fight for that show to be announced
Hendo's got next--either against the winner of Jones/Evans or Silva/Sonnen, whatever they can get done.
There was a lot of talk of Brock Lesnar potentially returning to the WWE last night at WM28 but it didn't happen. Regardless, DFW says he will let Lesnar do what he wants since he's retired and, as far as I know, his contract is either expired or can be negotiated out of.
Just because DFW isn't involved in Strikeforce anymore doesn't mean we're not going to get force-fed rubber matches we don't want!
Gilbert Melendez will defend his lightweight strap against Josh Thompson at the upcoming Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Cormier show.
Additionally, Rafael Calvan will face Mike Kyle. That one should be good.
In fairness, who else can Melendez face? Wilcox, Fodor, and Noons just lost.
Speaking of rubber matches, Sam Stout vs. Spencer Fisher 3 added to UFC on FX 4. I'm shocked by this.
Diego Sanchez is keen on a fight with Anthony Pettis at lightweight.
Thiago Alves vs. Yoshi Sexyama possible for UFC 149, along with George Roop vs. Antonio Carvalho
A UN Conference in Rio at the same time as the scheduled UFC event means that the UFC will likely move their show a week up or back, depending on the availability of the stadium etc.
Supposedly the UFC would like to see Alexander Gustafsson retire Rampage Jackson at the end of the year, a passing of the torch, setting up Gustafsson's first title shot.
Aaron A-Train Simpson vs. Jon Sleeping Cabin Fitch sometime in July
