The United Football League will hold its Annual League Meeting at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL, on April 22 and 23. Owners and investors Bill Hambrecht, Paul Pelosi and Bill Mayer will meet with UFL Commissioner Michael Huyghue and will be joined by the league's five head coaches: Jay Gruden (Florida Tuskers), Chris Palmer (Hartford Colonials), Jim Fassel (Las Vegas Locos), Jeff Jagodzinski (Omaha) and Dennis Green (Sacramento Mountain Lions). The group will also meet with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer during the two days of meeting in the home city of the league's Florida Tuskers, who will play all home games at the Citrus Bowl this season. Owners, coaches and senior staff will discuss all facets of UFL business in preparation for the second United Football League season, which will kick off in September of 2010 and run through to the week of Thanksgiving. "These are important and landmark meetings in the developing history of the United Football League," said Commissioner Michael Huyghue. "We have successfully built a platform for the league on the sporting landscape and are now planning to cement our brand and our exciting product for the coming season and many more beyond." The attendees will discuss future expansion of the league, which last week announced a fifth franchise that will in kick off in Omaha, Nebraska, this fall. Additional topics on the meeting agenda include: Marketing, Football Operations, Sponsorship, Digital Media, Public Relations, Broadcasting, Player Development, Player Personnel and Officiating. The UFL Competitions Committee, chaired by Mountain Lions head coach Dennis Green, will meet to consider rule changes and will also discuss the 2010 schedule, which is expected to be announced before the end of the month.
