There's a ringing endorsement. That being said, I don't see why the Bulls wouldn't hang up on Byron Scott.
Well, it'd be entertaining to have him telling Rose the ideal statline for a PG is six points and twelve assists
I don’t long for Skiles much, but I long for the days when I thought management and the coach were on the same page and generally had each other’s back. I look around and most of the choices here, and I don’t see that that anyone would have the sort of backing Skiles seemed to have. He’d just be the coach, there to do the job, but not with much management backup. That’s perfectly fine. And in some cases, it’s probably appropriate. I don’t think Vinny should get the same sort of “part of the family” treatment Paxson seems to, for example. But he probably deserves more support than he actually got, and the right coach, whomever it is, probably deserves more than any old coach who gets hired off the street.
I think everyone's ideal offseason would be hiring a really good-but-not-great coach (Avery Johnson), firing Paxson and replacing him with a potatoe.
