    The Toronto Argonauts Football Club has added more size and speed to its receiving corps by signing import Jeffery Webb.

    Webb graduated from San Diego State University second all-time in receptions with 211 and his 2,478 yards puts him fourth in school history. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2007, the 6'2", 211 lb. speedster had his best year as a pro, playing in 16 of 18 games, and making 28 catches for 313 yards, LG 32, and 1 TD for Kansas City. He also saw time at kick returner, amassing 10 returns for 204 yards.

    Acquired: Signed as a free agent with Toronto on April 22, 2010.

    2009: Released by the Kansas City Chiefs on August 17.

    2008: Dressed in 4 regular season games with the Kansas City Chiefs, hauling in 5 catches for 46 yards, LG15.

    2007: Had his best year as a pro, playing in 16 of 18 games, and making 28 catches for 313 yards, LG 32, and 1 TD...Also saw time at kick returner, and amassed 10 returns for 204 yards with a long of 28

    2006: Selected in the sixth round (21st Overall) by the Kansas City Chiefs...As a rookie, he was used sparingly at receiver, but made a strong case for himself as a kick returner...Collected 7 kickoffs for 169 yards, an avg. of 20.4 yards, and a long return of 50 yards...Played in 10 regular season games in his first year in the NFL.

    College: Played five seasons (2001-05) at San Diego State University...Upon leaving San Diego, his 211 receptions ranked second in school history and his 2,748 receiving yards rank fourth...Scored eighteen career touchdowns... 2005 His 79 receptions led the team for the third straight year, and ranked 18th in the nation with 967 receiving yards...Also scored eight touchdown catches... 2004 Finished second in Mid-West Conference in catches per game (6.5)...     Personal: Jeff has a 2-year old daughter named Annika Lein and his parents are Lein Officer and Jeffery Smith. When he's not spending time with his daughter, Jeff helps out at the Boys & Girls Club in La Quinta, California. His cousin, Jonas Gray, plays running back for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Jeff earned his degree in Criminal Justice from San Diego State.
