Timbers owner Merritt Paulson challenges the Timbers’ Facebook community to recruit friends, family and coworkers to join the club’s Facebook page. We need your help to increase fan support as we move to MLS next year. If we reach 15,418 fans (the same number of fans that attended the sell-out on opening night) by the Timbers match vs. Vancouver on July 3, Merritt will accompany Timber Joey during the match and assist him in some of his game-day duties. Specifically, Merritt will chainsaw at least one wood slice if the Timbers score, he will present the log slice(s) to the team after the match and he will lead at least one chant, all while dressed like Timber Joey! We can meet this challenge if Timbers Facebook fans recruit just one member each (although more are encouraged). Let’s show the league and MLS which team has the best fans in soccer! I'll post this in the Timbers Board too.. but this is a good place for the traffic lol.
Wow, he's going to play dress up, lead a cheer and if the team wins he's going to slip them some wood? Merritt really needs to stop spending so much time with Sam Adams.
