Trent Green isn't coming out of retirement to join the Chicago Bears, or anyone else.

Green made that perfectly clear Thursday during an interview on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000.

"That's not a possibility," Green said when asked if he'd consider coming out of retirement.

Green was contacted recently by Chicago as a potential backup for starter Jay Cutler, but Green said the sides never reached the point of mapping out a specific role for him. Green said the Bears reached out to gauge his interest in coming out of retirement to be "in the mix" for consideration, along with other quarterbacks such as Marc Bulger and Josh McCown, who have history with offensive coordinator Mike Martz.

"I chewed on it for a couple of weeks," Green said. "I sat down with my family to decide where we wanted to live. We ended up coming to Kansas City.
