I am guessing after what happened this year with Kmart that they do need a big man in the worst way. After Kmart got hurt, the rest of their front line got busted up trying to cover his minutes. End of story.

Not really interested in trading one of the 3(2, really) centers on the roster and helping Denver fix their problem so they can shit on the Blazers more than they already do

OK, here's my offer: Pendergraph, Mills and Rudy for Lawson. Take it or leave it.

...and of course that interdivisional trades rarely happen as management can end up with a lot of egg on their face.

I think Lawson or Collison should be the big target this offseason. Either could come in and start right away, or could benefit from backing up Andre for another year or so. Both are young, and shouldn't be TOO expensive. Go get them KP - er, I mean, whoever is in charge!

Brandon can't, and won't play with a real PG. Adding anyone is silly

You don't consider Andre Miller a "real PG"?

I absolutely consider Andre Miller a real PG. That is my point.

I really hope they go that direction. Either would be a nice PG we can build around, Collison in particular. Lawson could be easier to get since we might be able to trade our #22 pick and Joel's expiring deal for a top 10 pick (to flip to Denver) and bad contract.

Collison is going to take eating a huge, long-term deal, but I can see that being worth it for a franchise-type PG.

So you're saying Brandon couldn't and didn't play with Miller last year? I assume you mean play cohesively? I know it took a while....but I think they played pretty well together by the end of the season.

I know what you are saying. When I watch them play, they seem to take turns dominating the ball. When one is dominating the ball, the other seems useless.

So it was stupid to criticize McMillan for playing Blake instead of Miller?

But the good news is, Lawson isn't a real PG.

Lawson is closer to Andre Miller's game than Collison. I think Collison is a much better fast-break PG, which is something that this team desperately needs. If we want to get more production from LMA, we need to get him running IMHO.

Sort of. It was more like they took turns playing well, but did they really play well together? The key term, being together. Do you recall any Miller/Roy plays? Or was it more like ok Millers got the ball, Roy gets out of the way, now Roy gets the ball, Miller gets out of the way. If they really worked well together, they would probably have some plays to work together. Roy is not really great at being an off the ball player, and needs to add that skill to his game in order to be effective with Miller. Right now, not so much.

You can make that leap of logic if you wish, but I don't see in particular what one guys play has to do with the other sucking, period. I believe Roy can play with a good PG. But it has to be somebody who trumps him. Prime example: Western Conference All Star game with Chris Paul, Roys first all star game. They played awesome together. Part of the reason they did play awesome together, is Roy knew how good Paul was, and deferred. That hasn't happened with Miller.

I agree with this post. Roy is a little selfish/and or needs to start a play to be effective. He and Miller did not work very well together, they coexisted. Two very good players but easier to defend because of it. Both going one on one most of the time.

I'd trade our pick and Pendy straight up for him.
